  1. As above, Has anybody ever considered or have successfully made there own electric fed clay trap? They look quite daunting but think it would be an interesting project to try. Before somebody says why not just buy one, its not for the want of a clay trap, more the enjoyment of making a fully functioning trap to then use for many years to come. Have googled and youtube'd some basic single carousel fed traps and think it would be possible to make something similar. Anyone else mad enough out there to have given it a go and if so any pics or videos of the project?
  2. Once you get your FAC you will indeed need to look at finance options many many shiny shiny things to be had!! Completely agree, I have shot many sporting clays with some good results and the poster above advising not to start with a skeet variant is right also. I use my silver pigeon for skeet and down the line and achieve respectable scores. Another piece of advice is not to mess about with chokes too much whilst learning. You can get caught up with chopping and changing for different stands and scenarios when its best just to stick with the same pair and learn your trade. You can
  3. Do you need adjustable magnification mate? I have a mtc genesis on my hmr but wish i had gone down a fixed mag route. At the distances you would shoot a 22 rimfire, you could get a better quality fixed mag scope compared to a variable mag scope. As for quality of MTC scopes, I have a MTC viper connect on my PCP and a genesis on my HMR and find both very clear and good for lamping.
  4. Its been a while since I found mine and that was chance of speaking to a chap shooting a stand in front of me at a clay ground. Commented on his silver pigeon to which he said he wanted to sell it to get a Beretta 682 so I offered him a price there and then Best bet is to look on guntrader or gunstar for second hand but you may have to travel quite a way to find a bargain. I have owned mine for around 5 years and it has never let me down. I wouldn't recommend everyone spend such an amount on a first shotgun as you may end up not that interested in the sport later down the line, but
  5. Really depends mate, everyone will have there preferred makes/ models etc but you will find a good second hand shotgun around £500-£1000. From experience, buy a gun you will keep potentially for life as buying cheap here and there eventually adds up anyway. I have owned a few over and unders ranging from £150 upwards but I was lucky enough to find a Beretta silver pigeon for £600 few years ago and personally I find it better than others I have owned. If you intend on using it for clay shooting, I would recommend a multi-choke barrel but not essential. I prefer a 28 or 30' barrel but
  6. Think this guy could give him a run for his money... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwS1zjKuB1o
  7. my mistake, now showing out of stock, may be worth emailing them and seeing if they can get one for you
  8. Any good? http://riflemags.co.uk/sako-finnfire-p94-22lr-10-round-magazine/
  9. A chap on here messaged me with a couple for sale paid for both. May be worth putting a wanted post up as well mate or they have them for sale over at riflemags.co.uk. Just a bit pricy for me new so wanted a second hand mag
  10. If bottle 3/4 full, it should still be able to get your rifle up to around 200bar. Possible that the gauge on your bottle is faulty?
  11. hmr mags sorted, still looking for .22lr mags if any going cheap?
  12. Cheers Slipper, I was sure others had the 3 mode issue with the red led but couldnt find the thread in the search bar
  13. http://www.nightmaster.co.uk/hunting-lamping-light.html The extension tube is only comptible with IR,red, green, yellow and high voltage " white (2MT-M) LEDs only)" If you use it with the standard white led you will damage it and void warranty. As for the mode settings, Im sure somebody on this forum had issues and was told the 3 modes were not compatible with the coloured led's with extension tubes. I may be wrong but I cant seem to get it to work neither.
  14. I have the red led also. Think the 3 mode setting is only operational when in conjuction with the white led. I can't comment on other led lamps as this is my first high end lamp but I have used the wide beam for air rifle lamping and used the longer range for HMR shooting and have found it very good and with the extension tube, I have been out for around 3 hours without the batteries running out. Not too sure of the total battery time but its deffo ok for 3 hours+
  15. Maybe a few years ago it was true regarding top teams fielding weakened squads for the FA cup but as a gooner, I can say if anyone thinks the squad we fielded against coventry was weak, then please list who should have played? I do agree the champions league has affected how clubs treat the FA cup but ultimately this is down to the FA. Arsenal are always slated by rivals about no silverware and only playing for our "4th place" trophy but if the financial rewards are greater for a 4th place finish compared to winning the FA cup, why would football clubs/businesses want to go for the latter?
  16. As above looking for some extra mags for both my 22 and 17hmr cz 452's. Either metal or plastic, not fussed. pm if available
  17. +1 for the stealth net. Got mine off the bay also with poles. compared to my old army camo net, it is half the weight, folds up to half the size and is very easy to see through yet difficult to be spotted from the front view.
  18. I have the same and pretty sure the extension just lengthens usage time. I may be wrong, will have to try it but pretty sure its just longer usage time. what colour l.e.d does it come with? Think I also read somewhere you can not use the extension tube when using a white l.e.d
