  1. I recently bought a s/h left handed M2 and in the short time I have owned one, I can not think of any reason why I would need to sell or get another semi-auto. Can highly recommend Benelli from my experience
  2. Cheers mate, Fingers crossed Im going to look at an M2 tomorrow so hopefully its in good condition
  3. Just have to say a really helpful and friendly post! Not used to seeing Posts like this on thl!!fair play to you pal Cheers mate, Like to help out where I can
  4. Own both a Rapid 7 and a HW100KT and both are fantastic. If you are looking for a smaller rifle then the HW100KT is ideal
  5. Haha tell me about it. Although I am left handed, Im actually right eye dominant but I cant get used to shooting off the right shoulder. That makes it double fooked
  6. Didn't even know that was possible? How easy/ cost effective is this conversion? bet in the long run, probably cheaper to buy a left hand original. I thought the market for second hand left semi's would be ideal for the buyer but it seems due to being so rare, they keep there value very well. Unlucky for me
  7. I know mate, there is one on gun trader for £925 but its too far and with diesel costs will be close to what they are new. Im in no rush, hopefully somebody on here will get bored of theres
  8. As above, on the look out for a good condition Benelli M2 or Super black eagle 2 Thanks
  9. Only reason for asking is I have an MTC genesis on my HMR and noticed the same thing. I put mine down to possible poor optics but for what I use it for, I now just leave it on 10x mag and just use mil-dots. In future I think I will just go for a fixed mag scope. Never had a Hawke scope but blackout can sometimes be if the scope is mounted too far forward or back on the rifle in relation to shooting position. May be worth having a play around with position before opting for a more expensive scope.
  10. Hi all, As above, Looking for some good stalking trousers. Recently bought a pair of Helikon ecwcs multicam trousers for stalking but as good as they might look, I think even the deaf Rabbits can hear me. Think I will leave these for the Pigeon shooting days so in need of some silent style camo or dark trousers. Waterproof would be a bonus. Not looking to spend silly amounts but anything considered. Cheers lads
  11. Pretty standard I think. Im a size 9 in steel toe work boots so got the same in these wellies and fit is spot on.
  12. I have the carbine 22 thumbhole left hand variant and by far the best air rifle I have ever owned. Im not a pro by any standard but have been able to put 3 pellets pretty much into the same hole at 30 yards on bipod. The trigger is a one of the best 2 stage triggers I have used and the simplicity of the magazines say compared to a Theoben Rapid is chalk and cheese. Don't quote me on this but im sure I have also read it is impossible to cycle 2 pellets through in error but I have not tried this and wouldn't want to As above, a lot of people on the Weihrauch owners forum swear by the A
  13. I work for BMW in Kings Lynn mate, if you ever need any help or advice with it let me know. As for transmissions being prone, that is not the case. Transfer boxes can be temperamental if service intervals are not maintained but as far as the Auto gearboxes themselves, we don't change any more or less than on other Auto models. Just be prepared for the rear tyres to break the bank. Tyres seem to wear prematurely on the inner edges. This is more so the case if you have run flat tyres fitted. Make sure you check pressures regularly as we have seen customers go through a pair of rear tyres on
  14. http://www.fishingmad.co.uk/nnwb-adjustable-calf-4mm-neoprene-lined-rubber-wellington-muck-boot-rrp-59.99.html I bought myself a pair of these wellies based on reviews from this forum and I can not fault them. they are comfy, 4mm neoprene lined and so far have held up to several hours of stalking Rabbits. Other people on here have said that £200 plus chameau's have leaked on them so sometimes you do not always get what you pay for. I think for £30 you can't go far wrong mate.
  15. cheers for all the posts lads, seems some pro's and con's with both. They both make some lovely looking shotguns. I Had a look at a Benelli Black eagle being stripped down on youtube and it seems very simple in design compared to my fathers Franchi and browning right handed semi's. Less dirt build up so less maintenance etc. Well I best hope santa leaves some cash for me. Had a chat with the farmer today and Some Rape seed is to be drilled shortly and peas in march so trying to convince myself and the misses that I need this gun to save a farmers livelihood.
  16. Thanks chaps, Will have a look at a couple of Benelli's in the new year. Have seen a few second hand on guntrader for reasonable money.
  17. Hi All, As above title says, has anybody got experience of owning/using any Benelli or Fabarm semi-autos? i.e do they cycle well etc. I am left handed and will be looking to aquire a semi auto in the new year sometime and looking on guntrader, it seems Fabarm and Benelli are the most common. They are also a few Hatsan's on there but have not been impressed with them when I have had the chance to use them. Main purpose for the gun will be rough shooting so not too fussed about having fixed choke, just want something that cycles well with most cartridges Thanks in advance
  18. Sometimes you can pick up Miroku's for around the £300 mark. I have an o/u single trigger ejector that shoots as good as any Beretta I have ever owned.
  19. I can not speak for any others but I have used a Nightmaster NM800 with red beam for over 6 months and have found it more than adequate for shooting with my HMR. The beam is adjustable and the L.E.D's are interchangeable so can purchase different colours or an infra-red if using night vision. I would recommend a better barrel or scope fitting mount though as the one supplied with the lamp is a tad flimsy. With the red beam I have, I can pick eyes out around 200-300 yards and when I am within 100-150 yards I can clearly identify what the target is. hope this helps. Deano
  20. Evening chaps, My Father and myself are looking for permissions to shoot around the Wisbech and Kings Lynn areas. Also willing to drive to Cambridgeshire, norfolk and lincolnshire as based quite centrally to all counties. We are both shotgun cert holders and I have a sec 1 firearm licence but am only looking for rough shooting with shotgun. We are both experienced shooters and would respect any land we were given permission to shoot on. In return, I am a fully qualified BMW vehicle technician and would happily look after your vehicles in return for the opportunity. Land is har
  21. I have also recently acquired my first HMR. I was also looking at the Tbolt as you get a 10 shot magazine (2 i believe) and the additional magazine that stored in the back of the stock seemed appealing. But after speaking to several firearms dealers I found that the general opinion was that they were overpriced, cheaply made (various plastic components) and there were better rifles for similar money. I had my eye on a Sako Quad but eventually settled for a CZ452 synthetic with nickel barrel and SAK mod due to it being pretty much half the price. A lot of people will recommend CZ's on t
  22. I missed a rook today with the same anticipation of seeing a puff of black feathers. For me the issue is range finding. With practice and experience i am sure we will all get there eventually.
