    Matt, I think at times like this, people are uncertain and need reassurance.     I only fought Muay Thai at 'inter-club' level, but I know that it's the hardest imaginable way to make a living - I have respect for anyone who is willing to (literally) fight for a living. As I've said, I don't claim any deep knowledge of these things, but take the money out of the equation and ask if a man with no boxing experience should be allowed to fight a man that many place in the top 3 greatest boxers ever ? It's cheap and tawdry, and shouldn't be allowed !

    think it will prob come out sooner or later, that when they were refurbishing the flats, they putting in more Gas mains etc , and i reckon that what happened , they had Gas explosion that triggered the fire off so quick We'll find out after the public enquiry....... If it's anything like Hillsborough, that will be in nearly 30 years time, when those at fault are out of office or dead, and they've moved heaven and earth to stop the truth getting out !

    The council would be legally bound to accept the lowest price tendered. The policy of competitive tendering was introduced, I believe, in the early Thatcher years.

    that's true king, but surely that type of cladding would be better off dumped, it should never have been passed. especially with todays health n safety The cladding, insulation, electrical and other systems that were fitted would comply with "today's" H&S requirements - the work was only done a year ago ! The council wants a job doing, lays down a minimum standard that meets legal requirements and the firm that submits the lowest bid gets the job - you pay peanuts, you get monkeys !     Stone the crows where's that silly face that bangs its head against the wall.......that's the whole point im making man is it beyond possibility that experts will say what they are told to say and not what actually happened......the difference between an inquest and a public inquiry.Having a conversation with you is like trying to explain the offside rule to a woman where 4 hours after you started she says " so what way are they kicking then " Hang about, what way are they kicking? Against the doors of the council offices, apparently !

    I think either Max Schmeling or Max Baer did too (I'll be corrected if I'm wrong !), but I haven't seen anything that says Connie McGregor has ever boxed at any level - don't get me wrong, I'm sure he can look after himself, but Mayweather is no ordinary fighter. He's getting on a bit now, I know, but all the same.....

    Because nobody ever lost money underestimating the stupidity of the America ( and British) public. If they'll watch wrestling, monster truck shows, vote for Donald Trump and equate possessing assault rifles with freedom........... they'll pay to watch Mayweather V McGregor. So, "money" is the right answer !

    I don't follow UFC, but I've seen pictures of McGregor - he looks like you couldn't hurt him with an axe ! Serious question, though (even if I now the answer is probably "money"), but how does a guy who's never boxed professionally get a bout against a fighter of Mayweather's reputation ?

    I agree !He is entitled to hold any opinion he sees fit, but if you are open about your views you can, and should, expect to have them questioned by those who disagree with you. The same treatment isn't dished out to the likes of Mayor Khan - does he share his faith's rabid anti-gay views ? We don't know because he's never asked ! Farron was clearly seen as a soft target - wishy washy Liberal says something remotely controversial - let's rip him to bits, it's only the LibDem's !

    I've only heard reporting on the horrific incident here, I'd say immigrants are a major part of tower block life in London, wether we like it or not.....If it was a middle class white mansion block, no doubt the coverage would be pretty white. So much cynicism, while kids bodies are barely cold just seems sad as fcuk to me.......     It was a faulty fridge That hasn't been confirmed, they're investigating the cause One of the earlier interviews was with a Somali looking fella, who said there had been an exploding fridge on the fourth floor. I've never heard of an exploding fridge.......just saying.
