You can still buy egg slicers. Saw one in Morrison's the other day.....I reckon most just mash eggs with a fork, these days. You don't see avocado bathrooms because they're f***ing horrible !

Ingles gym ? No,no,no.....they're both Nottingham lads ! When I went there it was called The Pulse. Not far from Sneinton market (Tomo might know it). Owned by Tony "Can't for the life of me remember his name" but I think it was Laing - himself a British champion......it was 20 years ago ! If memory serves, Fidel had pretty much called it a day, and Delroy was in his twilight.....like I said, though, both still waaaaay too good for me ! Bumped into Henry Cooper, waiting for his missus outside Dorothy Perkins. I shook hands with the hand that decked Cassius Clay.....absolute gentleman ! Similar encounter with Frank Bruno.....another smashing fella, happy to meet people, sign autographs and generally lark about !

I use to train at the same gym as Delroy Bryan and Fidel Castro Smith ("Slugger O'Toole"), two of the less known British boxing champions. Sometimes had a bit of a spar with them - cracking lads, both of them - too good for me, mind !

I'd talk about football or f*** up Top Gear for a lot less ! Graham Norton and David Dimbleby, for instance, are paid through a production company, so they probably 'earn' a lot more than the given figure ! Far from being a government stooge, I think that the BBC has been set up up for this, by forcing them to publish pay figures, knowing that it would cause this kind of furore. I stood behind Spandau Ballet in a queue at the old Scratchwood services in the early 80s. I waited for an autograph for my girlfriend (later my first wife) who was a huge fan. They all insisted on coming over to meet her, signed a Xmas card and gave her a kiss and a hug........my daughter tells me she still has the card ! I've sat a few times watching cricket at Trent Bridge with Brian Clough - of course, the great man knew everything there was to know about cricket !
