Hello i do a lot of beating/walked up etc.I also find beating a good way to finish off my training & start the apprentiship of the young dog i have 100% to whatch the dog to many people take a gun in the 1'st year & have 9/10yrs of hell with there dog's & dont like the mic taken.

Hello i work 2 T8's 1 on a 22.250 & a 25/06 i wpould like a jetz or a pes but they work for me just now.I seem's your rear bush is to small for it to slip over the barrel.

Hello & good luck.Read a book or 2 there is plenty DVD's on spaniel's all diffrent stage's dont think it would be a bad idea to get 1.You should also seek help/advice from some 1 in your mind has good dog's.

Hello & welldone at least you got 1 my fox lamping has went down 80/90% this past couple of year's.I dont know fit's going on used to see & get each night im out now i see odd 1's but havent shot 1 lamping for month's.

Hello as you have been training the dog i would say that when you & a friend intrduce him you are his trainer & master you should stay with the dog & reasure him & let the friend shoot.Say 150-200yrd for a start 1 shot then progress every 50yrd's with a couple of shot's each time till around 20yrd's from your dog & you give the signal to carry on & shoot when you & dog ready each 50yrd's he come's closer.

Hello blackbob your right most of these dog's are sold because they dont have it.Give him a chance & your self as it will take you time & hand's on experiance in trial's before it get's better & you settle it's all a learning curve i my self fancy a trialing dog's but it's very cleaket.

All the best look's a good sized dog i hate the small ESS on the go i like old style & well marked & a solid marked head like your's how's he bred?.Dont want to be nosie but why not train your own to trial?.

Hello i let them hear from a distance ie quarter of a mile as pup's when i first get.I have a cocker pup 9 week's & i let him hear the very distance fire work's when out for a quick pee & he's no bother.As bullmastiff say's 6-8 month's pendinig on how well he's advancing slow or fast.I personaly like to start working my dog's just around there first year & get the as i say the apprentisship started.

Hello all.Bullmastiff you covered very well what i should have stated why i use custard & never chocolate as this is well knowen that chocolate is very toxic to dog's.My dog's get there custered cold there not that fussy well i dont give them the option i get it in a carten like fresh juice 1's.

Hello lucky vet bill & good new's about the dog.I work 3 lab's & recently got a cocker but i do alot of beating etc & i feed in the morning before the day & get cheap tesco custard in a cartin & give at lunch time as custard is high in glucose.I then feed & dry dog's & take indoor's for a heat till bed time.

Hello im sorry but my opinion of electric coller's is that they are a no no.I know dog's can be hard but it's all in the basic training & it is basic.I would like to see the dog work with the coller off? & a coller on a working dog can be dangerous when working as it can get snaged on object's or in amongest water side with tree root's etc can you see fit i mean.When you say you lab like's other dog's fit is he doing exactly?.

Hello David sorry for any bother with my question's.I cover a wee bit of ground & have a cull to be done & the female is the 1 you realy need to clamp down on for deer management or health can suffer.I whatch my doe's through summer then work out a cull with brother friend's etc as i enjoy taking people out as iv shot plenty.I need to take my chances as they come to reach my target & some of them are doe's with kid's & in my area my deer are very good quality so normaly twin's whitch is normal with healthy roe i have odd triplet's & some of last year's in this cull to.Roe d

It's thought off but it's knowen that the kid's of any deer will pine off to nothing or be come an orphane & not do well.Im not sure but i was told it was law to kill the kid's as well but law's change.A doe will proberly still have milk yet will dry up very soon so they need there mother till least end of febuary before they can be indipendint.Im not want to get on to any 1 just thinking of the kid's welfair.

Hello & welldone did she not have a kid or 2.If i find a doe at this time of year & she has kid's they all get it as the kid's will proberly not survive with out her.Not so bad march time as they are older & will be pushed out soon any way.Dont want to come a cross negative just saying from a stalker's point if view & deer welfair.I had a 243 & used to use 87g v-max they were very accurite & gave good impact reaction & good blood trail if needed.Welldone & keep us posted with more.
