appleby is a horse fair that runs on the first week in june and is for the romany gypsy people to trade horses and general dealing it takes place on the galoway hills and people from all round the the uk turn up for appleby with there bow top waggong or caravan digzy there is a programme on channal 539 tonight called gypsy fairs at 9 ,all about appleby ,if not its on saturday at 6 thanks mate will watch that
