Hi threelander, I would say around the £120-£160 mark, the latter for a near mint example, you have to be carefull when buying the MK 1 as sometimes where the makers name is stamped on the cylinder it has been known to of bulged it slightly out of shape thus a loss of power. The other thing both mk1 & mk2 can suffer from is a broken fore end screw lugs, both faults will decrease value. Regards Graham

Firstly my condolences to maxhardcore on your loss, I would like to thank all those who offered their condolences to myself over the loss of my dog Max, it was very kind of you all. Regards Graham

We've lost the battle to keep Max alive, so I'm just posting to thank every one who took time out to reply.he wasn't the best rabbiting dog in the world but he loved to be out with the ferrets & me, we had to have him put to sleep....heartbroken, a much loved dog.

I'm writing to let all those who took time out to answer my previous thread on the above topic, i shall give you the surprising outcome,so I took my dog to the vets explaining what I thought had happened, the vet examined him & said he would like to conduct a series of tests involving blood tests, urine, ultra sound, x ray etc, the results showed no rib damage or diaphragm problems but what it did show was the lungs were filled with blood/possible soft tissue growth the vet explained that the possible cause of my dogs symptoms could be due to a cancer or an allergy to his vaccinations that

As soon as he started to show any symptoms I took him to the vets, but at that point in time I didn't know about any possible collision he may have had, I just thought he was under the weather due to his annual jabs, hopefully I'll know more tommorow, thanks to all who have replied I will keep you all posted. Regards Graham

I'm posting this in a hope that someone on here has experienced the above & that the overall outcome was a good one, although I fear it won't be, so hears my story, my dog is a 9 yr old collie/ greyhound lurcher Hancock bred, I use him for ferreting/bushing as he's not quick enough & a bit big for lamping on the type of permissions I have. Anyway one night recently my son took the lurcher & our stafford out for their evening walk, he took them both onto some waste land & let them off the lead, both dogs run around freely, what happened next I'm unsure as my son said he heard th

My Rabbit & Black Pudding Pie Recipe
Papa g replied to Fieldsports's topic in General Airgun Discussion
They look cracking! Gonna give them a go! Well done mate. -
I was out rabbit shooting on Sunday, I shot 2 does from 2 different warrens, I collected them & put them together unintentional outside the start of another warren then went in search of more to shoot, I'd got about 150 yards away when I saw a young black buck rabbit come out of the warren & was running around sniffing the shot does, he seemed to be transfixed by them so I decided to ambush him, so I got within range(air rifle ) & had him in my crosshairs when he lept on one of the does & started humping it!! I didn't shoot him in the end I just thought fair play to you son!!

Why Is It Only Deben That Make Ferret Finders
Papa g replied to northwestferreting's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
I remember in the late 70s I had one of the 1st locators made it wasn't by deben I don't think, basically they were converted transistor radios & a transmitter fixed to a collar, a bit Heath Robinson in design but they worked ok, only thing was that sometimes you got the "top 40 hits" on Sunday whilst ferreting ! -
Try chambers you can access their full spares listings on google

Stainless steel butterfly wall ties what bricklayers use un twist them & straighten them then use a piece of inch pipe as a former to bend them round, cut them leaving say a 1mm gap in the two ends & braze them. Spot on for purse nets.

New To Ferrets Any Help / Advice Much Appreciated
Papa g replied to rebel666's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
The best training you can give a young ferret is plenty of handling don't make the mistake of snatching them up (you'll get bit for your troubles & also this leads to another problem called skulking where the ferret will stand at the mouth of a warren & every time you go to pick him up he darts back in out of hands reach) plenty of gentle handling & play with them it all builds trust & will make them easer to work with. -
Work on house, two wks in Jamaica ye-ha! Then when back restoring various airguns, getting ferrets more accustom to my lurcher sorting/selling some nets & game fairs oh & plenty of shooting!

I've been saying the same for ages now! When will the airgun snobs listen!!

Any Idea What This Rifle Is??
Papa g replied to smecky's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Deffinatly a relum telly had a couple of these myself over the years, it's the break barrel version of the relum tornado. -
I have not been on the forum for long but I think I may be able to help. His problem may be down to association, the first time out and your dog probably scared him, you chased him and he bit you! I think that unless you can change his mindset when it comes to his relationship with you, you may always have this unpredictability. I would reccomend very regular handling and to feed him treats by hand during the handling and also regular positive interaction with your dog, the one that got excited. When he bit you for the second time was your dog around, had you been handling your dog? He may ass

Liver once in as while is ok but I've found too much can give the shites, as to locator collars I've found the locator collar on a harness works well.
