Sorry first reply came out wrong (new to this lark) Karl! I think a good quality one piece mount is always better than a pair especially on a springer, regardless of what the cylinder is made from.

Fair play to you,it cetainly is a labour of love,I made a 50 yrd hemp long net some time back it was great to use where there was twigs & leaf litter but it weighed a ton when it was wet, used to dry it on the missus washing line!

I 've had an escort 3shot semi for 3 yrs now it has had a caning clay shooting, rabbiting , pigeon shooting,I've found that if you keep it clean it'll give good service I believe the later ones are a bit more refined,on the whole you get a lot of gun for your money,can't comment on the remi though as I've never used one.

Sorry to hear about your permission being revoked.I had the same thing happened to me some 5 yrs ago, but don't give up mate get some insurance- basc or similar if you don't have it already & knock a few doors try the local golf courses show them you're responsible it worked for me!
