New Awesome Reloading Toys For Me :) Check These Out
GEOFF.223 replied to GEOFF.223's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
Well my toys arrived today Very impressed simple idea the trickler but works perfect only had to adjust it 3 times before it got dialed in say 2/3 mins to set it and that was first time so should be close everytime now so less time fiddling with it. The rcbs 10 10 scale is very sensitive unlike my older lyman 500 scale. If u look very closely at it the two marks u try and line up never actually stop as there is always abit of a breeze about either from me moving breathing or shouting at the dog. The lyman scale would stop dead and not move like the rcbs seems like the lyman is -
Can I Have Everyone's Opinions On 4X4's For Around 3K And 7K
GEOFF.223 replied to Gee111's topic in 4x4's, Quads & ATV's
Suzuki or toyota older ones or a mighty nissan patrol Take a look at australia theres only two main 4x4s hilux and landcruiser. In the south of Ireland it's the same toyota toyota toyota. Also if you look up toyota for sale will come across a few with nearly 300,000 miles so that can't be bad. -
Looks the part pal little bit expensive for me av to buy a cheap car to run about in aswell so 4g max for me

Im on tbe search for a hilux double cab pick up dont want to spend more than 4g Want one that has been raised and big wheels. Is there anything to looking out for on a raised vehicle? i know tjere is a limit to were u start to pull suspension out of the jeep if u lift to high. Would i be better sticking to a 2" lift rather than a 4" ???? Also is there aanything worry about on the 2.4td enginges? Seen a few 2.8 non turbos about like the sound of no turbo less to go wrong.

There was a t3 lite in the shop but i really wanted the super varmint. But its not available until August time and then i will still have to apply when i get it with the serial number and the license for a shotgun here in Ireland is taking 4-6 months and center fire takes longer again so I'll get it early next year by the sounds of it. got land signed for and all on the firearms permission sheet with over 500acres pity i didnt now the serial number by the time my license comes back the gun might be here. Awell still the .223 to play with until then.

That's Wat I had my eye pal But it's hard to beat a scale If I was just loading hunter loads I would have got the lyman gen 6 but as I'm big into longrange shooting I want to be as accurate as possible. How fast does the lyman do a charge like 10 seconds or 20 seconds etc -

Was on fone today to a gun dealer here in northern Ireland that specialises in mostly rifles and reloading gear and he has convinced me to go for a t3 super varmint in .204 He told me yes no prob he will get a 20tac made up for me for using a rem 700 action for about 1300/1400 pounds As he has a 20 tac he said if he was doi g it againt he would go .204 ruger because of more accessible parts especially brass and more load data out there So im taking my .223 and my 17hmr to trade in against the tikka t3 super varmint tomorrow He also stocks vortex scope now so will hav

Good read that tried explaining to some old boys how a smaller lighter faster bullet will be affected by wind less Say a large round that goes about 2600fps Compared to a small one doing 3900fps will get to the target faster thus not being pushed by wind for a as long as a larger bullet going slower i the air longer more wind drift.

Im in northern ireland so im limited to only .22 and below sized bullets A 40gr .204 drops 1.5 inches less than a 50gr .22 250 at 400yards Also as i reload i will save money on powder as the 22 250 uses more. The .20 cals seem to be more accurate than other size rounds under 500yards. Yes i understand that your saying there is not a mager difference but Little recoil Cheaper to reload very accurate hopefully
