  1. 9.5mm arent the best IMO, will kill game with right shot placement. Said it before but hexnuts are the way to go
  2. Remind me to never come to your place mate, rats galore with the sound of it aha
  3. No mate I thought they were but they aren't stretchy enough. Should still be fine once bedded in
  4. Not sure yet harry its like the secret Santa one. Theres about 30 of us doing it. I've been paired with that pride products so should be getting a beauty with the work I've seen him do. No mate the criteria was pocketable, huntable, wouldn't mind throwing it if need be, traditional poacher style
  5. Taking part it a trade over on the slingshot forum, the trades for a traditional poachers catty that has to meet certain criteria. Here's my part of the trade. Multiplex ash cup style, flame baked over a candle and coated in polyurethane, tabbed and fitted with 5mm squares and a supersure pouch for rocks
  6. I wouldn't bother mate aha I'm not sure bud contact one of the mods if you can maybe
  7. Accip74 very kindly messaged me asking if I wanted a spare 173 transmitter, I didnt need one but a mate that I'm helping this year does so he sent him the transmitter, free of charge!!! Absolutely top bloke. Thanks again mate
  8. 10mm leads better IMO. Hexnuts are better though lol
  9. I wouldn't trust them, if you've no signal on your phone your in trouble. I went only 20 mins from my house shooting today and didn't have a single bar all way round
  10. That's what I thought mate. My mate rang up about his and they said they couldn't tell him over the phone so I recon they did
  11. The coppers were orate to be fair, took both mine and my mates catties and ammo but we got talking to them about hunting and that. Took 'our' names and addresses though lol
  12. Exactly what I did mate. There isn't a law on carrying catapults securely but the copper seemed to think so but there not worth arguing with because they will only cause more shit. Haven't got the time for them
  13. Ye I've decided to hold off a little while before I get mine flying. Been walking her about and she's settling down really well. Took the new Jill for her first run through today and she bolted a rabbit and rat so was pleased with that. Took Freya along too on her portable bow perch. Can't wait to get at it now
  14. Kills a kill mate, well done the both of you
  15. The law for guns doesn't apply to a catty because it isn't a gun. Police will probably make a law up. I had mine taken for it being an offensive weapon in public, but your garden isn't public so shouldn't be a problem. If she didn't phone the police then don't worry. Be more careful lol
  16. If your in your own garden they can't do anything. No laws on owning a catty
  17. Sorry one of the milbro ones are already gone
  18. Grade A multiplex catty blanks. Perfect for a cheap beginners catty and easily customised, need sanding but then all good to go once bands are added. £10 with postage, message me if your after more than one we can sort something out.
  19. Thing is mate no matter how many people tell them they still don't buy a telemetry set because the birds are usually orate. Way I see it is find your bird once and the telemetry is paid off
  20. My Mate found his hard to shoot so I swapped the squares for looped dankung 1745 tubes and it shot a lot better, also try holding it by supporting the forks with thumb and forefinger rather than like you would a hammer if you don't already do so
