  1. Also anybody who hasn't got a scout slingshot, needs one
  2. Gonna roast up lovely along with the other 2.
  3. Bit pissed off today. Bird went free but after being fine all day the wind picked up when I went out. Flew her once to the creance then let her free but she was blown all over and didn't handle the trees too well so called it a day. Hopefully it will be fine tommorow if not will go into the woods and try improve her tree finesse because as is she's useless aha
  4. Shouldn't be around long, love what you've done with it, just a terrible design aha
  5. These were with 9.5 steels actually mate. Out of hexnuts till the weekend. Well place shots will still put them down
  6. Cheers bud. With partridge always try and shoot them face one. Otherwise you won't hit anything substantial to bring them down
  7. Marbles for the lad. Can still hunt with them and wide so can be gripped easy.
  8. Thanks mate, one was only about 6 yards ish through the hedge, the other about 12 yard maybe
  9. Went for a quick walk with my mate and his dogs before it got dark. Shot these two partridge with the catty and had the pup retrieving them. Took some time and messing about but got them in the end
  10. Right attitude to have mate, nice to see for a change lol. Anybody ever flown buzzards at quarry with any success? A mate had one that caught a moorhen once but that was it
  11. Cheers lads. Ye that half ounce off has made a big difference. Weather permitting will be out for that first kill on the weekend
  12. Harris haws are generally easier than reds to get results from, however I've always regretted not starting with a red because I love the look and aggression they have. Could do with seeing both before making a decision
  13. Might as well start the diary now. Finally found a weight I'm getting a good consistent response at, gonna fly her on the creance again tommorow, then free fly her Friday when her telemetry mounts fitted. This is from today This hawks totally green, never hunted before and is 3 year old ish so see how it goes. Thanks
  14. Ye I've heard that, took mine to 1lb 14oz 1/2 today and she was bang on. Holding her at that then will take her up a little bit at a time
  15. Ye mate they are all trained relatively the same way
  16. Not as standard mate. They are only cheap though and well worth it. Gonna adapt it to use thumbscrews as well so I don't need a screwdriver to open them up
  17. If you right click and open in new tab they should. Let us know if not
  18. There in demand mate so you wouldn't be holding onto them long.
  19. Quick half hour from tonight. Fell the other side of the fence so will have a wonder back over in the morning and pick it up
