    greyhound pics

yeah they love it,they only come inside once in a blue moon so they make the most of it when theyre in
  5. only saluki type will box a hare,a collie x,will try and round its quarry and look like boxing, but the only dogs that box a hare is the saluki x,a bull x boxing a hare?ha dont make me laugh,it doesnt happen,it may look like its boxing it because its running outside the hare for three or four turns, but does it box it then after 2 mins?i doubt it
  6. she was marked up at 17.30 not 17.10,two of them must of had different times, she came second tonight in race 9,got in a bit of trouble on the bend, but still good for her first race and considering she has only ever had 2 dog trials, the dogs winning time was 17.24,track was running well tonight open was won at 16.,have you got any grey's now socks
  7. way to much for a 9 month old pup to be doing in my opinion, let the dog fully develop first, they will run that distance no problem and love it,but i would let the dog be a pup for at least another 2 months
  8. yeah max she has the biggest ears i have ever seen on a greyhound ,she is a lovely bitch tho, really nice temperament,a really happy bitch all the time, grace on the other hand is fecking mental,a proper fruit loop. socks she's been doing o.k times, first time out of traps 17.,then she improved over the next couple of trials, her best being around 17.10,her times have been fluctuating as ive been trying to find the weight that she runs best at,so she aint doing bad for a young bitch really, cheers
  9. not the best quality pics but i thought i would put them up anyway,i will get some better ones in the day and post them the knockeevan bitch, getting her ready for thursday maxi pup, growing nicely sorry, this is the maxi pup
  10. frank if you want a greyhound get one,you will have some real fun exciting hunting,i wish i could hunt my bitch that i had of maxhardcore, she took a moggie at 11 months she had one scratch on her which cost me 400 in vet bills from infections, then one week later she had a travelling fox, both were accidental as i was walking the dogs locally, she had caught them and killed them before the lurchers knew what was happening, she is very very fiery.and only 56 lb,small bitch
  11. what cross is your dog?ive seen it in young dogs when excited, but it depends if it was yapping or barking, like snoop said i would personally go straight out and give it a dropper, get its confidence up,then leave the dog off u untill next season, good luck
  12. i wouldnt say they are breeding them to fine at all.frank do you want the greyhound for racing or hunting.ive reared my racing greyhounds up pretty similair to lurchers, they come back straight away if recalled, will sit on command and give my misses their paws when asked, but you have to draw the line somewhere between treating them the same as lurchers as greyhounds have to have special attention payed to detail
  13. i got my first lurcher 10 yrs ago,a first x collie greyhound, hes still alive and very well,he is retired now and living with my parents,i now keep saluki types,i have one 5 yr old and two 2 yr old pups out of her,i allso got 2 young greyhounds which im schooling at the moment.before the lurchers i had a spaniel and terrier which i used for bushing and ferreting,so in all ive been into dogs for nearly 15 years, and im only 25 so have many good years of hunting to come
  14. does anyone know for a subaru legacy thats being broken,im in desperate need of a distributor for one,ive tried everywhere, cheers brock
  15. i feed mine red mills racer soaked, raw turkey rabbit and hare and mashed veg, they look well of it and i copied this from charlie listers book, how can this man be wrong when he has won so much with his dogs

ive saw real stags taken single handed with a bull x,and saw many hinds and smaller stags taken with saluki x's single handed, never really had the oppertunity arise to try the saluki x's on the really big stags,i have a 28 1/2 inch 76 lb young saluki x at the moment which im pretty sure would have done them, its a shame i bred him after the ban came in tho
  18. are they from daytime or night time?
  19. well done to you lurcher bitch on providing these rescue dogs in to good homes, and well done to the owners who have given these dogs good lives
  20. my brothers russell bitch is exactly the same she has been stuck in rabbit earths a few times and she goes silent, the last time she was down one for a week and a half, thought she was a gona

nothings better with 2 dogs its too messey,if your dog cant do it on its own then dont run them on stuff
  22. look like my pure greyhound pup
  23. whats the bitches racing name, and what track did she run at,i saw this pup a month or so ago,it was a strong looking pup.you will have to be carefull running a type like that on the longears,be carefull not to over do it with such a high percentage of greyhound in it,and be carefull where you run it,as it may not be as hardy as a saluki type,it will be a very fast up and at them type tho, good luck with it

    Fallow

doesnt matter to much, aslong as its not really small,no one except the dog will be able to tell you if its capable of pulling a fallow, they are pretty strong tho, especially the big stags
