  6. dam-queeny out of jason bradfords 'LUKE' to 'SUZIE',-'suzie' was allso out of 'LUKE' to a good bitch called 'QUEENY',,she was bred allso by jason bradford, luke is out of charlie to sweet by chocolate, the sire is my own dog brock out of tommy murrys smokey, smokey out of kippers cruise to amber, the dam to brock is my old bitch rogue which is out of chris moyse captain, catain out ov dave smiths gazza to willie toughs spindles, the dam to rogue was a bitch owned by maxhardcore of this site called spooner which was out of sam the man(waterloo cup winner)to 1/2 saluki 1/4 deerhound 1/4 greyhound,t
  7. millions of blue greyhounds about
  8. my greyhound bitch never had a season for 3 years
  9. depends if your going to run them on n.g.r.c or flap them.either way if you do it the right way it can be a expensive hobby if your not having any winners, but as i found out a few years ago pretty addictive sport
  10. good luck with your lamping bitch mark, but i have to be honest, salisbury plain is a world apart from the fens,we used to course there regular(bit flinty for my liking).people dont seem to realise just how good a winter fenland hare can be,and can make the best of hare dogs look silly never mind lamping dogs.and stamina over a night 0n 40 rabbits is totally different to stamina needed to run continuously for 3-5 mins a time, horeses for courses in my opinion.just watch your not cutting of your nose to spite your face.you could easilly ruin a good all round bitch by running her on hares on the fe
  11. thats a risk only you can take,if the bitch meant a lot to me i would leave her be just incase of complications
  12. the people that are giving the slatings out probably couldnt catch a hare in a phone box, never mind 17.sometime the places you catch them in the night you couldnt run them in the day anyway.although how many of those hares you caught were young? i dont mean to put a damper on you catch but we all know they are useless this time of year, and for some reason this year they seem to be worse than ever, which i personally put down to the amount of rain we are having,we ran a few the other day and they were worse than rabbits to be honest
  13. i really want something thats producing good hare killers, although he was a good dog he hasnt been to any bitches yet.i only want 1 litter from the bitch so dont want to take any chances.she is a good bitch so deserves to have the best i can find across her.
  14. i will be on the look for a top stud dog at the end of the season aswell. the bitch of mine is out of tommy murrys smokey to a very good bitch i owned out of moyses captain to a bitch owned by maxhardcore that was bred from sam the man materloo cup winner to a suluki(tor of dartmoor)x coursing deerhound called bad. ive got a few dogs in mind, but would appreciate any advice or comments
  15. cut the nail back to relieve pressure of the toe, then leave the dog rested for a few weeks, thats what i do.
  16. leave her be while in heat, then you can run her for a few weeks then dont run her 9 weeks after up untill 12 weeks as she will have milk on her and running her could cause her to get mastitus
  17. in my opinion if they want to fight when running something then they are not concentrating 100% on the matter in hand, nothing to do with trying to please the master, dogs should be fixed on its quarry like a heat seeking missile, not wondering what the dog next to them are doing.plus they shouldnt be run doubled up to start with
  18. a very good dog man,a gentleman and someone everyone in the dog world should strive to be like.if your out with him for the day with hounds and terriers you will have a great day, come rain or shine, allso always the first man to put his hand in his pocket and buy the round at the end of a days hunting.
  19. could allso be to much protein or strained kidneys.get plenty of electrolytes into them and make sure their diet is right.you said your putting the weight back on them ready for the season,so could be the food,i personally do it th other way around, keep the fat during the summer, then strip the weight of them when im putting plenty of work into them
  20. seen plenty of both breeds work, and it basically depends on the dog itself, good and bad in both,i havent seen a dog crossed out of both but from what im hearing are making very handy animals, might put a bull x across my saluki x this year and find out for myself
  21. the points must be scored in the slip field not later on in other fields,so it was judged fairly. although the american bitch was a very good little bitch on a hare,
  22. perhaps your doing a bit too much with them,
  23. yes baiting is both cruel, wrong and unimpressive, but those are very, very, very game animals and perfect looking,i wouldnt mind getting one in the kennel
  24. darcy you should be a detective.well caught out tho. But i still think theres too many people on here with way to much time on their hands,
