    Grace is a real character Rob,full on mind but that's what I like about her."energy"springs out of every orifice of that dog. She just loves to work,her and my collie "Merle"are joined at the hip ,where one goes the other ain't far behind.     If only I could teach you Bill lol.I got my copies of your book lastnight, I picked them up from Puds. Red 30 or so pages, and I must ad I was hooked after the first page,I couldn't put the book down,but it was late and I was up early so had to. The book itself is quality and the images are by far the best I've seen "tremendous" quality. I take my hat of to you lads for putting this book together.I know a lot of time and hard work went into its making, well done the Border ratters, it's certainly found a place in my collection and is a must for the terrier enthusiast.     Another look out yesterday morning ,again no big numbers but canny sport. Dogs killed ten. Dug most of them out,which took a couple hours steady mooching. Managed couple shots,hopefully Bill will study these ,maybe pick up a couple tips. Pm me if need be Bill lol,s atb keith j.

    Most of our ratting is done by lamp Treehands,I'd say 95 percent.I like to ferret and dig to them to,but the smoker is a useful tool when needed. But I agree the fumes can't be good for the dogs, whereas the dogs are mostly held back anyway, and we always smoke outside were it is well ventilated . And dogs health and wellbeing is always top of my list. But as you know when you get stubborn rats that refuse to bolt they can and do do some damage to our ferrets,so unless we keep a stack of gills the life of the ratting ferret is relatively short.and rats frequent a lot of places that can't be du

    Great morning out yesterday, over some new permission of a friend. Was different to my usual hunt as I invited Pud and Bill(omanera) from the Border ratters. I've met and hunted with Pud before and no he has a cracking little team of dogs.on this day however our team consisted of my collie, my two Plummers, Puds Westie and my pals collie. No big numbers , dozen or so good rats and three rabbits, great morning out.The images are curtsey of Bill as he was camera man on day, thanks again lads for great craic and Great sport , atb Keith j
