  1. Are you by any chance a member of ADN...National Dyslexic Association?
  2. Raw meat during the colder months...beef, rabbit, fish etc and dry ferret food during the summer months to prevent flies. Feeding saps, cat food etc is a thing of the past as they don't have the correct make up for ferrets so it's best to feed the proper foods. For bedding i have small fleece blankets and shavings in their toilet area
  3. Sounds to me like you've made your choice...and a good 1 at that

  8. ok try a well bred bull x or a saluki .........lol collie x hound would be steady (biddable),..and have brains ,...so would be easy to train........... It's about Whippets as a 1st dog is it not? I've no experience with collie x's but seem to read a lot that they can be difficult but also great! Personally i wouldn't want to take the chance as a 1st dog! I have a Whippet...knows who's boss...very easy to train...fast enough...decent nose...decent lamper...good retriever and an excellent choice 1st dog for bunnies imho better with a bit of ridgeback/malamute/dingo and zippy the won
  9. All depends on how far you want to go...some like, some don't...i do. The adjustable butt pad is a must for me and brings the cheek piece up nicely. I must have a long neck as a standard butt pad doesn't sit right on me at all. I'll need to add 1 to the S410

  12. Do you not think a collie x could potentially be a nightmare to train as a 1st dog? I've no doubt they make great dogs but in experienced hands
  13. What about 1 of these? Another bit of bling haha
  14. Money should't be an issue for the right dog...after all...look at what you will get back over the years. If it is then get a lurcher

  19. Ok...i wasn't referring to a completely raw diet. I should have been more specific and stated mostly raw and natural. Nothing wrong with cooked rabbit for killing tape worm eggs etc...would much rather do that than risk giving them infected meat. The rice and pasta are both soaked in cold water and are the only ingredients. Sardines has oil and a small amount of salt...nothing more and will do the dogs no harm for the amount that they get...couple of times a week at most!!! They get raw beef mostly so i would definitely say that my dogs diets are mostle raw, natural and unprocessed!!!
  20. 3 for me and all in the hoose. A GSP bitch that's 6...a Weimaraner bitch that's 4 and a Whippet dog that'll be 2 next month. All 3 are pets though i do a bit of lamping and ferreting with the Whippet. I have been considering another running dog but don't have the ground or work for 2 and i'm now thinking that i should have 4-5 years between the 2 running dogs. I'd rather concentrate on 1 for a few seasons at least before getting another
  21. I feed main ingredient raw beef or cooked rabbit roughly 50%...brown bread, rice or pasta roughly 20%...handful of redmills racer roughly 20% and some chopped spinach and grated carrot. I give them sardines in oil a couple of times a week also and a codliver oil cap a couple of times a week. I'm not keen on giving too much dry dog food...especially cheap stuff like the redmills or gain...at 15 quid a bag the quality of the ingredients, especially the protien sources are poor. I definitely wouldn't feed these foods on their own. If they get too much dry they shit and drink water like fcuk...on
  22. Well wonder no more!!! For hundreds of thousands of years humans and dogs or more specifically their ancestors lived on natural foods. Natural unprocessed foods are better for us and them...fact!!!...and to mention dog training etc is nonsense...totally off topic!!!
  23. I would avoid products for the human market firstly on the grounds of dosage and secondly whether its safe for veterinary use. Having worked for best part of my life in the veterinary medicines and supplements business, I do have a fair amount of interest and experience on this subject. However I am happy to give my input but I am not going to get drawn into the rights and wrongs and technicality's of it all again with Sandymere if I can help it as its been done to death People often supplement their dogs diets, even when the diet they are feeding is correct. There can be many reaso
