    Some times when new and not shot much power can creep up after good 500 pellets but then again can go down I'd put a few hundred shots through her and if still low simply strip it down and add bit of pre load good excuse to de grease de bur and re lube correctly too sounds daft but just a proper lube can up the power That or take for a service and explain its low on power either way sounds a easy fix and if it's accurate stick with it some of the best / smoothest sprinters I've had I set around 10.5 just simply because they shot so much better a ft lb below legal limit and still enough pow

    argh simples ,.177 needs more air thus higher faster sweep rate thus harder recoil and snappier shoot .22 less so less recoil smoother stroke less snappy which is best ffs i dont know spent 20 years trying to find out still dont know argh ooo brain fart just buy both then test for yourself ! yep tried that still dont know i give up absolutly no idea just just erm..........

    It is hard when you start out when you really want to get something for around your budget don't get me wrong there is rifles out there for the 150 mark but I think they will disappoint you and struggle getting consistent groups and make you wonder weather to use on vermin (if that's what your wanting to do) I would recommend hanging in and having a really good look around possibly trying to get another 50 quid together and look for a decent used rifle Hw older Bsa aa etc they can be found not easily but they are there for 180-200 and the results from it will be 10 fold better than a new budge
