  1. You'd have thought that, with all those years behind them, someone would've been able to sort out their feet, coat and stamina. Maybe some things just can't be fixed. Im not biting.............. Hahahahaha!!!

  3. Are they single bands?? Good work with those too!!
  4. That 14mm lead does a number! Nice headshot too! It's always good to get that first kill with a new frame.
  5. I could never achieve the craftsmanship that you display in your frames. I just use what Allah provided me. I scrape off the bark and round off sharp edges. I might make a little adjustment here and there to make it fit my hand better but other than that they stay much as they are. I've had a nice Hawthorn fork sitting about for ages, that I'm putting buffalo horn tips on and shaping and rigging with looped tubes. That'll be there for a while yet before I get around to it! Once I'd managed to get out of the mindset that every frame should be perfectly symmetrical I found a lot of fork
  6. I rigged up an antler tube shooter I had with some 1745 looped tubes. It had Theraband black tubes on it and they worked perfectly but, after drilling holes and slots for looped tubes, I found that the tubes wouldn't sit in the grooves on top of the forks. I grabbed some castration rings and placed them around the tops of the forks, held them in place with some micro pore tape and they sit just where they should. I've always liked how fast the Chinese tubes shoot and initially tried this with 9.5mm steel balls. I was getting quite a bit of handslap with such light ammo but found that
  7. I've got a digital monocular. It's handy. On one of my permissions I thought the rabbits had all disappeared but when I took the NV I saw loads. They were so lamp shy that they were running for cover before the beam even reached them. I watched them do it. For you lads that get lost every so often they can help you find your way to any helpful keepers by showing you where their infrared beam is shining.
  8. I know where there's a couple of pups, Buster!
  9. Don't get me wrong, I know there's blokes out there with Salukis that return to heel without even a whistle and whippet's that can have more than 3 runs and don't open up but I'm breed blind because of years of experience. I think I might be lazy. A deerhound x requires no work, does everything I need with no drama and makes me look a lot better than I am.
  10. I worked a pair of Saluki x greyhounds back in the day. Their owner, my pal and a bloke I listened to, once said to me " I've always told you that a dog will work better if you put some love into it. But I don't even like these fecking dogs, let alone love them!" We caught a lot of deer with them. Despite people only thinking they're good for hares, Salukis and their crosses go mad for deer. They weren't for teeth and were never used for that. The reason I would never have one or any saluki blood in a lurcher is because of those 2 dogs. I make my opinions based on first hand experience.

  12. Back then,.the Deerhound lurchers and cur dog mixes,.. ruled the roost,....we did the best we could,........with what was available..... What do you mean by that? Deerhound crosses can still compete with Salukis and bulls as all rounders. It's a fashion thing. Salukis were hailed as a new wonder breed but they had no more wind than a deerhound and less recall. Bull crosses were supposed to give more fire to a lurcher but plenty of foxes were killed before everyone thought they needed one. I'd put my dog from back then against the dogs of today. If you had to do the best you could wi

I'll pop along and have a drink with you Walshie. I'm really excited!!!! Maybe another day. So what your saying is, I've got more chance of sh1tting in the Queens handbag than getting you to but me a drink. I'm man enough to admit that I'm hurt by this. Previously you offered to take everyone on this site out for a pint and some lunch, including the LACS internet monitors and the Googlebots. But you didn't want me to come! We can work this out. It's a travesty that we aren't closer. I'm going to be the one that puts an end to all this. I know you may reject me but one of us need

  15. I've killed feral pigeons with mint imperials. That's a proper decent thing to do BPR.
  16. Practice, practice, practice!! And trust yourself to be able to hit what you're looking at. Confidence is a big part of it.
  17. How many others are raising money? Get a raffle/auction going, I'm sure people will donate stuff for it. I'll donate some stuff. How about an evening in my company? The winner will get to drive me to a pub, stopping along the way for driveby catapult shooting, watch while I drink loads of red wine, laugh while I develop drunken Tourette's and say outrageous stuff to random people, drive me to A&E to remove an angry girls stiletto from my back passage, drop me home and spend the next couple of weeks trying to get their head around what actually happened.

Looked at Matilda tickets Arch, couldn't get any for the day not sure if the kids will last on the late show, it's gonna cost at least 250 quid for us and if they fall asleep I'll be gutted lol.. Watched Wicked and The Lion King over the ladt few years.... I enjoyed then both ( which may confirm my gay tag lol) The trick with the shows is to be prepared to see anything and stroll in an hour before it starts and see what they'll sell you the tickets for. The prices are ridiculously cheap. If I was trying to impress a bird on a date, but didn't want to shell out loads, I'd take her u

If it was adults for a quid, you'd still feel that you'd been robbed!!
  20. ill do the shagging for her just tell her to drop me a pm anytime ?Thanks mud, so anyone who wants to shag me, you'll do the shagging for me. You heard him boys, send him a pm if your interested. It's obvious that you're here to try and get a bit of action. You've probably exhausted the possibilities at your local Wetherspoons. I'm sure the facial hair and smell of BO would be a deciding factor. But I'm sure there's some blokes that are willing to overlook it and shag you anyway!
  21. Suzy, please don't start bleating about sexism. I'm a proud black man but not once have I complained about racist comments or threads on here.
  22. Think that's obvious, don't you think? Yes, but you are "generalising" smaller dogs ability to turn better because of a lower centre of gravity. Which is bollocks........ Everything with a lower centre of gravity turns faster, whether that's a formula 1 car to land rover or Zola compared to that tall useless guy who played for Liverpool I think. It's the laws of physics. But your right, not all small dogs will turn faster, but a good small dog will turn faster than a good large one. Anyhow, as Kranky says, this has nothing to do with the thread so I'll leave it at that. My coffee table
