  1. Get a dead lamb from local farm, works a treat this time of year! Then as above keep it alive. Good luck
  2. Im looking forward to seeing the HW80 when you have finished all mods and a video to see how she shoots?
  3. Hi Skot I went on Monday to have a look and the HW80 was a lovely gun but quite long and been vertically challenged did quite feel comfortable. I was taken back with how light the HW95 was which made me less sure about if it the gun for me (a great looking gun though). Then I looked at the HW97 which I had originally not fancied, although my mates older version shot well and found it very comfortable for me to hold. I therefore think that I will probably get one in 177 ............... or 22, I just need to make a decision as im doing my own head in. As for my wife she is sick of hearing about
  4. Thanks SKoT, Going to local gun shop today or tomorrow, as they have a 80k And 95k in at the moment. I already had a look at a 97 (traditional stock) really nicely weighted gun and dispatched a few rats with my mates. But for some reason I really fancy a break barrel, I think it must be a midlife crisis and I want to be taken back to my youth. Thanks for reply Al
  5. Hi pal, 2 great looking guns! Just out of interest what do you think of your 95 also what cal and how does it compare to the 97? Sorry for all the questions but I can't decide between a , 95 and 97. Thanks

  9. Thanks Andy that's great info. It is something I have been wondering for a while and keeps getting a mention in these threads. Al
  10. Hi, just whilst on the subject of calibre. How significant is the difference in recoil between .177 and .22 when using a springer? Specifically HW95k. Thanks

  12. If it is still for sale in the new year I'm keen. Getting Christmas Pennies to invest ina new toy!
  13. Two lovely looking guns, are they still for sale?
  14. Just out of interest what is your favourite air gun?
  15. Hi Sam, 177 or 22, also keen to see some pics. Thanks Al
  16. Gents thanks for ask of your input. Pianoman, thanks for your technical review of the 2 guns. I love the look of the TX and drawn by the reviews of accuracy. However the hw80 is like going back to my youth with a simple break barrel that does what it says on the tin, my concerns were accuracy but I feel reassured by all your comments. I'm going to get a hw80 (tuned) and have some fun, may get a TX, down the line. Thanks again. PS hw97 great accuracy, been smashing rats in my chicken run over the weekend, shouting through the chicken wire. Great fun! (still don't fancy one though).
  17. Hi, after time away from air gun shooting, I was looking to get a gun again. I had an aa s410 which was a great gun, but this time I am more drawn to the nostalgia of my youth and a springer. I have narrowed it down to aa tx200 , pro sports or weihrauch . I'm borrowing a friends hw97 at the moment and despite 3 rats in the back garden this week, I just don't fancy one. Anyway any thoughts, pro's and con's of the 3 mentioned would be much appreciated. cheers.
  18. Would like to see pics if possible, also where are you in the country.
