    My 12 month old bitch that I had wrapped In Cotton wool being let out when I was at work , ended up on the road , I had just started her and was buzzing about her good start then this happened ..

    Seen a dog putting one under pressure and the hare took to the road, the hare was two foot from the dogs nose and it ran into a 6 meter long steel pipe sitting by the side of road, the pipe was just big enough for the hare to fit in! I will never know how it managed to fit in at that speed and how it knew to hide in that pipe!

    Karl, Like I say to my brother "you buy me the steel shot and I will use it" If I was feeding birds I would need to be shooting them myself, one shot with lead sneaking into the game bag could kill your birds

    I have seen plenty deerhounds run to the lure and they are not impressive, they don't seam to ever commit their selfs and treat it more like a game, some would say thry are to intelligent but I have owned collie cross lurchers that chase the lure, deerhounds in my opinion are slightly lazy and won't lay themselfs out unless its the real thing. Seeing a big fit deerhound on a hare or a deer is an experience but on the lower flat land the smaller racier ghound types in my opinion are more suited and I can say this with experience, in the highlands of Scotland running the land they bred for I

    no wonder its banned!! Dogs ripping poor animals apart, its barbaric.... And everyone into hunting destroys farmers property and comes back to steal the farmers quad later that night. I nearly forget they all into organised crime swell!! Just buy an xbox and stay indoors..

    Go get a lesson mate done me world of good, the stance and the way you hold the gun sets your shot up, if your holding the gun correctly it will be pointing at what your looking at. Always look at the target not the barrels ;-)

    I got 5 crow decoys after reading this topic.. Set them up in mixed patterns during the outing. Last pattern was the most effective, 4 crows decoys at the left and 4 pigeons decoys on the right, shot over 30 crows and 12 pigeons

    Got my hide seat yesterday, You can carry gear init and seat swivels what's handy but its made from cheap plastic and I can't see it lasting with my bulk swinging around on it!!

    What pigeon decoys are you using, Full body, shells, magnet s and flappers or floaters/bouncer? What about crow decoys? Anyone had good numbers with the bird of pray as a decoy?
