    It’s a fecker this weather but sometimes you gotta bite the bullet and just go. I was out with a young traveller lad a couple of nights ago feking pissed it down but we did ok, the lad out shot me 5 to 1 but hey it was good to get out ??

    I watched a vid by Nathan masters simpleshot on making pseudo tapered tube sets and was put off by him saying they won’t last very long, obviously you like em because your using em. What’s the average shot count on them ?.

    They are shit in warm weather, the colder it gets the better they seem to perform, the dankung 1745 amber tube has the same cold weather resistance so I’m led to believe. I’ve always got my catty in my pocket mainly due to where I go ?

    Many moons ago I started with a basket from the chaps up north and soon found out it wernt exactly what I needed, you can’t run with one and getting through a hedge with one made more noise than I’d care to say ?

    Keep chipping away mate ?. I have a permission that borders a wood. The wood is looked after by one of those groups that don’t believe in culling anything. Earlier this year (feb) I counted 39 greys come down a hedgerow from that wood.

    There are some strains of chicken that are quieter than others, do some research and get the ones you like, get a shed and run knocked up and get some chucks ??

    That pheasant was shot at 79 paces/strides. The first two shots were to the left of it and I hit it with the third.

    I don’t think we will ever eradicate the grey squirrel , there are too many in public places and places you’d never get permission to cull.
