  1. No worries Jim. I've a 6x40 un-branded scope you can have. I bought it for my son's first air rifle a couple of years ago. It's only been used a handful of times, and he's now progressed onto other guns/scopes. I'm all for promoting "youngsters" into the sport so you can have it for free. All i ask is the cost of postage, which should be no more than a fiver. You'll obviously need a set of mounts. If i can find the original set i'll include them to. But failing that there must be someone on the forum here who has a suitable 25mm set of mounts for you. Anybody out there??? Let me know if t
  2. Perhaps were looking in different places, or perhaps you're mistaking it for the MTC Viper 8-32x60ir ? Here's what "Bagnalls" are selling them at new with free p&p - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281065853250?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 I'm genuinely not "trolling" or being unpleasant. I only mentioned it, as i've been searching daily on Pigeon Forum, Ebay and other forum sales; along with this one as i'm looking for this exact model of scope. Anyhow, good luck with the sale. Cheers Jamie
  3. Can you post some pics up please? Also, with respect, the price you're asking is somewhat high considering they can be bought new, with delivery and gaurantee for £245....
  4. Cheers XD i'll get searching! Jamie
  5. As above, i'm after chokes for my 12G Beretta A302. I'm told the A301 chokes fit? Cheers Jamie
  6. As per title, new or used i dont mind as long as it works well and has all 3 reducing rings. pm or email me. As per the link. Cheers http://www.uttings.c...enger-g2-79042/
  7. NOW SORTED THANKS. As stated i'm after a cheap semi auto 12 gauge, (Not fac) for hide shooting. I'd like a 24" barrel, but may consider a longer barrel for the right gun and price. Would prefer face to face, i'm in the Worcestershire/Warwickshire area. PM or email me with what you have. jamie.s@fsmail.net Cheers.
  8. Just want to gauge opinions please folks. I'm looking at a couple of scopes at the moment for a project. I've been looking at the MTC Optics Taipan 6-24x56 IR, and the Bushnell Banner 6-18 x 50mm. Now i'm not looking at whether it's fit for my project, or my gun and the like. I'm purely after what people think is the better of the 2 for "allround" quality. Cheers
  9. Cheers folks, I've gone for a Tru-Oil kit. Just need to get round to starting the job now....
  10. I appreciate you intend on selling as one. But If you end up splitting can i have first "dibbs" on the mtc Genesis 5-20x50 scope please
  11. Cheers fellas. I like the idea of it being more "pointable", and i'll only be using it for crows and pigeons. Just can't clear enough of them with a rimfire.....
  12. Cheers fellas much appreciated. I forgot to ask what length barrel/barrels to go for, for general "rough shooting" and hide work? I like the idea of 24", but would that just make my pattern very wide at a short distance?
  13. I just watched a youtube video of Chris Green and his son shooting. They know their stuff alright and the last part of the video had me in fits, very funny man
  14. Talking of which, what is the best choke size for decoying pigeons and crows? It's been along time since i've had a shotgun, i have several rifles on fac but waiting for my sgc to come through the letter box any day now so i'll be looking for a cheap semi-auto that i don't have to worry about getting scratched....
  15. I've been reading the posts as i'm hoping what is good on pigeons, (high and low) will be just as good on crows?? I hope so as i'll look a right plum after writing all the below! 30 6's or 32 6's seem to be a good starting point if the above's right...... Are fibre wad bio-degradable? I'm not particularly a "tree hugger" but on a permission a few years back, (before i had a break from shooting) it had been shot hard in a particular area. It was bad enough being ankle deep in used carts under a certain tree! But the surounding area was also totally littered with plastic wads and looked total
  16. Think i just read a similar post from you about the Vitara. Since starting this post things have changed. At least for the moment anyhow!! I may keep the car and get a quad to leave on my main permission. Or buy a mid sized 4x4 for both on and off the road. I like the idea of a late model Grand Vitara with the pug diesel engine. But also like what i've read about the Freelander 2.......
  17. Thought i'd "bump" this as in the near future i'm considering either a quad left at my main permission and keep my car, or go for a medium sized diesel 4x4 thats a good compromise between off and on road. I've looked at alsorts. Favourite was a hair dressers Suzuki Grand Vitara lwb with the 2.0lt dt peugeot engine. But i recently went out in a Freelander 2, albeit only on the road. But it seemed quite refined and a good ride. Decisions decisions............
  18. Cheers fellas! I'm hoping to take the wood down a shade or 2. Would Tru-Oil or Danish Oil do this for me? Also can you get different shades of Tru-Oil or Danish Oil? Thanks Jamie
  19. As above folks, I ordered a Richards Microfit Stock from the USA some months ago and it arrived today after ordering and paying for it some 3 months ago at least! Anyhow, as the stock was only 95% to 98% finished, i have some sanding, and inletting to do. Infact less "inletting" more shaping. But either way alot of plaining and sanding! More so as i may shorten the forend of the stock by around 6" and plain down the "comb" to suit my eye line. Has anyone bought one of these stocks or a similar laminated stocks, (Boyds maybe?) and how did you go about finishing the stock and what products
