  1. Cheers for the reply Tote. That'll teach me not to post and watch the tv at the same time! In principal, would a 24 volt battery and bulb with the same watts as a 12 volt battery and bulb be any brighter and/or give me any further usable distance? no the only thing to improve distance is bulb wattage 50,75 or 100 watt apart from that its reflector size. just remeber increase wattage = reduced battery life Cheers Paulus!

  3. Hi folks. I've bought a lamp for foxing and i'm very happy with it. The one below - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120973442773?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D120973442773%26_rdc%3D1 It has a 12 volt 2 pin bulb in it and is rated at "140 yards". Doesn't say what wattage it puts out... Anyhow, what i'd like to know is, if i were to change the bulb for a 24 volt bulb but with say the same wattage, would it be any brighter and/or give me any further usable distance? On another note i'm shocked at how much money companies are charging for batte
  4. I have the Hawke LRF 400 and i'm chuffed to bits with it so far... Although as it states it only ranges to 400 yards. For the extra £20 you get the 600 yards your after. Good price really. I had mine from Uttings. Ordered it at 12pm arrived at 11am the next day! Although if you call them you may end up speaking to a young lad, poss teenager (?) who seems to be sarcastic most times i call. Perhaps bad look on my part always getting the "dweeb"! Ending on a good note though there service and delivery is cracking!!
  5. There is such alot of snobbery on most forums when it comes to optics. But to be fair, theres alot less on this forum than some others... I've got a £200 quid Hawke scope on my .204 cf and it performs great! Accurate (.6" at 100 yards with factory rounds all day long) Had a few knocks but not lost it's zero. And is good enough for my needs at night. Would i prefer a £2k scope on it, probably? Could i afford to go out and buy one for each of my rifles? without being bigheaded, yes i could. Would i? No chance! I have no doubt the glass and quality are alot better. But i wouldn't spend and ext
  6. Talk about someone seeing the light! Thank-you! I started reading the thread as it said "Starting up reloading" and funny enough, thats what i've just started doing. I think i read about 4 posts on reloading and then 4 PAGES! (Not finished yet..) of people battling for the biggest balls contest!! It's like being on "Pigeon Watch"! Infact i'm sure i recognised one of the narcissist's from PW! Anyway, i'll get back to reading and hoping it gets better.... I've now read all the pages, and despite the above post being written by Zook, you MORON'S continue to trash AzMaN's thread! I can't b

  8. As above folks i'm after a replacement stock for my short action CZ 527 American (.204) I'm not after a topline stock, i'm just after something to replace the 1980's BSA Meteor one supplied with the 527! Synthetic tactical type would but nice but mainly something abit more substantial with an adjustable cheek peice or at least one that is a fair bit higher than what i have. A uk supplier would be good, or a used one someone wants to sell. Just to add that i have been on the "Boyds" site and from what i can see they don't do anything for me. Cheers Jamie
  9. As above i'm after a stock for my short action .204 CZ 527 American. In short i would like something "Tactical" but my main priority is getting a stock with a higher "cheek peice" Let me know what you have, a picture is a must, and what you want with postage. Cheers Jamie jamie.s@fsmail.net
  10. I'm after a scope for my Air Arms pcp air rifle. I know there are various models of AGS and Hawke scopes. And i'm after something along the lines of a 3-9x50 mil-dot IR AO. From what i can see, AGS are cheaper, but are they any good? Some educated opinions would be appreciated folks
  11. Apologies if you've received the un-edited version of this post. Thanks but i've now sourced a pump. Thanks Jamie
  12. I'd prefer new or lightly used. Along the lines of a BSA, Webley, FX, Axsor and Hills. Cheers Jamie
  13. Hi, Just what i'm after at the moment. Where are you in the uk, and pics when you get chance would be good. Does it show much sign of use and have you had it from new? Thanks Jamie
  14. Have you still got it? If not could you send me some pics. PM sent.
