Wanted Overall Cartridge Length Gauge With .223 Modified Cartridge.
jam1e posted a topic in Miscellaneous
As above folks. Preferably the gauge and modified .223 Remington case, although I would consider just the gauge. Must be in excellent working condition. Let me know what you have. Thanks Jamie Jamie.s@fsmail.net -
NOW SORTED THANKS. As above folks. I'm after a very low use, mint .223 Rem rifle. Screw-cut prefered. All I need is the rifle, but would consider a Reflex moderator and rifle package. However, it must be at least a 1 in 9 twist, or even better, a 1 in 8 twist. I would like a Tikka T3, or maybe a Remington 700 SPS Tactical. Let me know what you have, along with some detailed pictures. Wanted adverts also placed on other forums. atb Jamie

Just thought I'd add a quick question to an old thread.... Any people out there using the Night-Eye 500? Or even the 500LR? Some pros and cons would be good if possible?? Cheers Jamie

Cheers Charlie Caller. It is a cracking gun and calibre. I just can't afford, or want to leave it sat around unused when it could go towards a nice "starter platform" .223 BR rifle...

SOLD For sale, or swap. This sale is for my Weihrauch HW 66 in .22 Hornet, with my matching MAE .22 WMSTS moderator. The rifle has been factory fitted with a "match trigger" and is smooth as silk! I'm selling as I need the funds to pay for a "BR" (Bench Rest Rifle) in the near future. As you can see from the pictures, both the rifle and moderator are in as new condition, the stock and barrel have no marks at all! I've put around 200 rounds through her with my home reloads, and in that period I've worked up a load that consistently shoots 1/2" groups at 100 yards. If the buyer intends on

What do you exactly mean by "downsize the litter"?

I managed to find a very nice .22 Hornet. A Weihrauch HW66. I bought it from Wymberley, (Phil) off "Pigeon Watch" today. Just incase anybody comes across Phil in the sales area and are thinking about buying something from him. I can vouch for him. The bloke is a top Gentleman. Honest, trustworthy and hospitable. Thanks to you Phil, much appreciated, and love the gun! Here it is.....(Not scope or mod) -
Pics for you Dominic. I couldn't figure out how to pm them to you. Sorry...

As above folks, As i've sold my CZ 452 .17 hmr, i no longer need my 10 shot mag. It's around 6 months old at most and in as new condition, but no original packaging. It's been used on no more than 10 shooting trips and had no more than 250 rounds through it. It fits both .17 hmr and .22 wmr It's made from some type of sturdy non brittle plastic. £20 posted recorded delivery. Paypal, bank transfer, or cheque, but will not be posted until cheque has been banked and cleared. Thanks.

Cheers LD. I had a look yesterday, and quite like that Weihrauch HW66. But know nowt about them to be honest, other than they're a good brand. Abit expensive at £800 but it's within my upper limit. Just! -

Hi folks, I'm after a lightly used mint/excellent condition bolt action and screw-cut .22 Hornet Rifle. I'll consider most makes, but no relics, or open sight versions. That includes any models with the rear open sight mountings. I'm not interested in ANYTHING that has been modified/butchered from stock spec. The only exception to this would be an alternative stock to improve aesthetics. Like a Boyds..... I'm only after the gun itself, as i already have a scope, bipod, ect.... I shouldn't need to say this, BUT, a couple of the emails i've received, (Not all) are from people clearl -

Is There Any Way Of Working Out How Old A Cz Rifle Is?
jam1e replied to jam1e's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I agree totally. CZ are the dogs for quality and price. I have 3 of them! But they may as well have been asking £600 for that .22 Hornet as they've got about the same chance as selling it for £400!! At least as long as they haven't got a wooden stick! -

I'd love to get into 300-600 yard range shooting, but there just doesn't seem to be any clubs around my way, (Stratford on Avon, Warks) Or not that i can find anyhow! He does a shed load of videos on really indepth stuff. Tutorials on all sorts. I'll have a look at calling wind me thinks....... -

Cheers Geordie. It was stamped "93" on the left side of the chamber. It also said, "made in Czechoslovakia". So was a bit of a give away on its age anyhow. And point taken fellas...... Although in my defence i did say i agree "an old gun doesn't mean a worn out gun". And i "wanted to know out of curiosity". Turned out to be a bag of excrement anyhow..... The "shop", who shall remain nameless hadn't even bothered cleaning it! The bolt almost rattled round in the gun. The chamber was in a disgraceful state! You'd need half hours cleaning with hoppes and a toothbrush to be even able to ins -
It sold today Paul, but thanks for the interest.

I'm going to look at a used CZ 527 .22 Hornet shortly. And although i've been given some good advice as to what to look for regarding wear. I'd like to get an idea how old the gun is. Is there anything other than an early/short serial number to look for, or will there be letters stamped that signify age? Just to add that i'm aware age itself does not indicate a wornout gun, i'm just curious. Cheers Jamie

You can get a marine Scout system for £5K or Accuracy International for around the same. There are also some AI guns here for less than £3K: http://www.sportingservices.co.uk/rifle_offers.asp One other thing to remember, its also down to the shooting skills as much as the gun. I'm a great fan of this guys videos, not sure what he was, ex military but I suspect Marine Scout Sniper or similar. He's an awesome shot and gives some great product advice in his sniper series of 42 videos. He even factors the earths rotation and ambient temperature into his calculations! This g -
Info Needed On Reloading The .22 Hornet,
jam1e replied to jam1e's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
Had my last tub of Lil-gun from sportsman gun centre ( Newport ) think they have a few outlets about the place-- google them----or even Lil -gun powder distributers. LD Spooky you should say that LD. I called a local-ish rfd to me, mainly about the price of a new .22 Hornet. Not only do they have a CZ 527 in .22 Hornet, (used) but have, (or did have ) 2 tubs of "Lil-gun". Which i snapped up instantly!! I'd prefer a new rifle, but i'll have a good nose at this used one. Other than a really sloppy bolt and obvious signs of rust i'm not sure what to look for?? Blueing worn off maybe? -

SOLD-SOLD-SOLD-SOLD As above folks, I'm dipping my toe in the water as it were on how much interest i get on selling my HMR, before i part ex it for a .22 Hornet. (If the Hornets any good....) I bought it new around 10 months ago. It's had around 500 (ish) rounds through it and is mint condition. I've dremelled and sanded some of the synthetic stock's barrel channel out to make the barrel fully free floating. It also has the "Rimfire Magic" tuned trigger fitted and is very smooth, and light, (approx 2lb) having used the middle tension spring of the kit. The gun comes with all original pap
