  7. Well i got back from my holidays yesterday and i had a text waiting of peg asking if i fancy a go at some fox's with the lamp, as they've been taking all his snared rabbits so i was more than happy to go before night came i sat up in one of his high seats for a roe after an hour or so i seen a little buck but he never hung about looked like he was spooked by something then we had a couple hours with the lamp which produced another cracking night out, shot 5 fox all in, all shot about 100 to 200 yards away only had the mobile so the pics are crap and could only find 4 of them as we struggled

  15. Whist on one of my permissions yesterday i was talking to the farmer about when he was cutting the fields he mentioned his rape was getting hammered which is'nt ready till next week and he asked if id have a look,so i goes along and hundreds got up i new id struggle to find the shot birds but i had to have a go as the fields beside his house i had a good couple of hour then it came to trying to pick them the dog managed to pick 36 then give up the weather was just to warm for him , there was alot of birds left in the field but he was one happy farmer aswell as the fox's in the area
  16. Id go with 20 30 yards or so of the hedge,i always keep hold of a couple of dead birds for the rotary, then you've made it as natural as it can be,like foxdropper said try decoying with it turned of to start with see how the birds react sometimes it works just aswell good luck
  17. Try using a speed controller to slow it down i find they work better this way,i always put the rotary about 20 yards or so away from my pattern the reason for it is just to get the birds attention until they get close enough to see the decoy pattern, i found that the rotary scared them when i put it in the pattern but this way works for me,where abouts have you been setting the rotary in your pattern
  18. A good size cub did he feel comfortable with the 20 yard shot
