    Just given the dogs a pint of skimmed milk ready for today to help them skim across the surface like the hares do ?, do the whippets semi skim or full skim on the heavy going ?

    In an ideal world I’d say it would be best to have a pup turning 14-15 months at the start of the season then be able to run them all the way through, so a pup born July time ideal

    People leaving them till 18 months old been reading to many books, Ethiopians make the best marathon runners because there out as kids all day covering miles bringing water back from the wells ect, body gets use to it

    Sankey top man with dogs on video saying he starts pups off at 8 months old, so do I little bits and bobs doubled up does no harm, most of the best dogs get started early, no good leaving them till 18 months, start going backwards if you leave them to long

    nothing ? suppose to be a good dog, don’t know why your saying that, a man I know travelled from the top of Scotland to Lincolnshire to put darrens whippet across his coursing bred bitch, there was a dog pup from the litter I had from a pup that later went to someone else that made a good dog, must of been the hybrid vigour, I’ll find some pics now

    Do you know Darren Gallagher, he had a whippet a few years back that was suppose to take fen hares, the dog was called sonny I think

    Yea I bet them dogs had no stopper pads left after that, seen hares go up tarmac roads for good distances, the clever dogs with bit of experience stay on the grass verge while the hare is on the tarmac

    Would of been hard for any dog to catch that hare with it getting on them tracks, the dogs don’t like running flat out on them hard tracks
