    I know what you mean that’s why I cut it right back so there is nothing that needs to knit back together on the inside which could split again, it’s just the skin that needs to regrow, should be ok I think

    Hares always fly when they get on them tracks or maybe is it that the dogs slow up a bit because there stoppers are getting hammered and they don’t like running flat out on them hard tracks

    Good find I haven’t seen that for years, shows the difference between speed and stamina, saying that that Sargent looked like he was dragged about towards the end, a good dog should of still been giving that hare plenty of stick towards the end of that run

    Yes that was it Geoff fletchers dog not lal hardys, I think the dog was a good 10 lengths ahead at least when it got to the hare but that Sargent looked like a bit of a plodder to be fair. One last thing did you get your username from a Clint Eastwood film called high plains drifter, I saw it when I was scrolling through the tv the other day and it made me think of your username, I think you’ve tried to mix it up a bit by putting low instead of high ?

    Yea I just remembered nipper was put to a greyhound and the pups turned out slower than when he was put to a saluki, figure that one out

    Actually them dogs look very light so they might just skim across the slop like a hare does

    Sankey put blondie to a greyhound to breed a dog for himself when he stopped running fens, not sure how good it was and never heard of any decent pups out of the dog he kept

    Luckys sire joe was out of a first cross saluki greyhound so I think you can get away with a quarter greyhound at most if coursing is your game but anymore and the negatives outweigh the positive

    To be fair to what your saying I’ve only seen a whippet greyhound run against a coursing dog on tape in the winter and it was a good 200 or possibly 300 yard slip and the whip grey left the coursing dog for dead on the run up, the whippet greyhound had racing lines in called country music I think and it was Lal hardys dog if I remember rightly

    Very fast, could they not race over longer distances because I thought as a rule whippet x greyhounds have more stamina than pure greys, would a non ped even get to a hare that is already moving with a 200 yard slip or would it be burnt out by the time it got there ? Not slagging the dogs just genuinely interested
