  1. ]he's not turning the place into a shit hole..maybe... By cleaning the place up after fly tippers had dumped some useful bits people have expressed their support. It helps that we speak in a manner that is understood and have earnt the trust, even gratitude of those who visit (using the mentioned foot and bridlepaths) and live nearby.
  2. Do people really dislike them "making home"? What is it that I am 'doing'? I think the issue is where I am being rather than any doing. I am not knowingly depriving anyone of anything, and yet an unaffected party wishes to see my family and I deprived of the ground upon which we dwell. I can't say why. I do not know, nor can I fathom a guess other than ego.
  3. I dont believe the first part to be absolutely true. Instead, i believe the council would be the ones to instigate proceedings. I agree with the second paragraph though. A concept does not cause harm. The suffering is inflicted by the Man in which it dwells.
  4. Would just like to make my gratitude known that unlike in the past, and in other parts of the world, it is not an accepted practice in this country to simply beat, torture and kill those would dare march to the beat of a different drummer... Though it appears there are those who would support it.
  5. i watched some programe about a bloke building a strucure in some woods he owned. it was like a big shed but it had to be on wheels even though it was dug into the ground so couldnt be moved. he could only live in it for so long throughout the year, I believe that conforms with the 28 day continuous occupation planning restriction.
  6. Thanks for the varying opinions chaps. Now you ready for the can of worms? POP! Firstly I do not recognise the concept of land 'ownership'. I understand territory i.e space where one exists. I will never claim to own any land. Ever. I do not intend to ever bribe a man to relinquish his claim using money. It is unnecessary when I already have the right to exist on this earth as evidenced by my corporeal body. I am a steward of the earth upon which I roam and choose to dwell. Nothing more. Squatting? If you mean a human using that which another has abandoned. Who is occupying shel
  7. Thanks Dave. Keeping the mind and soul open, to move on would mean new hunting grounds. Staying put saves moving. Win win! One way or the other things will undoubtedly sort themselves out. I'm keen to see how the chips fall though.
  8. i always thought as long as the dwelling wasnt perminant (is on wheels) and the land was owned, then it was ok As I understand it, there is normally a 28 day continuous occupation rule. Not applicable in this instance as the council are not the ones who have taken issue. The sticking point comes from a guy who claims to own it and yet seemingly has no proof. When he first made contact I made it clear I would be happy to move on if he could provide proof of ownership. He hasn't and has gone the expensive route. Interestingly, there are two public rights of way across the land (meaning one
  9. Wasn't aware of that incident. Just seen the video on YouTube and WOW, that is sad and frightening stuff. Insanity in action for all to see. Shocking.
  10. The line has been drawn. There are moments in a mans life when his core beliefs, ideals, principles and morals will be challenged. The 11th of December 2012 at 08:00 has been selected by others to be one of those moments. Those I hold dear have been sent away to friends and family. There, they will await the outcome of this battle of wills and opposing desires. My strategy is fragile at best. Note the bold and capital letters stating "ALL PERSONS". It is upon this I will depend. Peacefully, I will resist, holed up in my caravan, curtains shut. With no 'persons' present th
  11. Nice write up Mawders. I love the way peering at a digital display, pawing at small objects, mumbling to yourself then arranging the bits into neat lines can get your partner concerned for your mental wellbeing.... I just do it for attention on a friday night now.
  12. It was too still and clear here, but it did cross my mind to go lamping. Couldn't justify it though as we've had a good run of meat courtesy of a chicken. I love cold weather stalks, as mole says, you just add a layer or two. Static hunting can get miserable though, which reminds me to ask santa for a flask...
  13. http://youtu.be/YDpt2SKV-hU A dead squirrel was 'offered up to the Gods', but what is interesting, is where is it? Sited in front of the cameras approximately where the fox stands it has evidently been taken yet neither camera detected its removal. The fox has nothing in his jaws, nor does he pick anything up, and yet the squirrel is gone. This is the second time this has happened, the first when something managed to drag a pheasant out of sight of the Super Scouter Trail Camera without tripping the sensors!
  14. You can calculate it, measuring the drop over a set distance in chairgun, or use chairguns preset bc values. The former is by far the more accurate and will give the best results. Theres a rough guide on calculating the ballistic coefficient posted on here and my blog.
  15. Yep. Great app. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/237918-the-hunting-life-hunters-chronicles/page__st__120
  16. I'd be happy to do a review if I were in your shoes, even if it is negative one. Tell it how it is I say! With reviews like this on the net http://www.gunmart.n...w/hatsan_85xth/ singing its praises, how else are buyers to know? Of course, Edgar Bros may not thank you but I'm certain if what you say is true, plenty of fellas who would otherwise know no different would be most grateful...
  17. Welsh Willy can sort em. I loved my 55s. I don't like the look of that 85 mind.
  18. Maybe because square head has neglected to tell me anything! Tut tut. "kick his ass Sea Bass!"

  20. Can't speak for the 85 but... I've had that god awful BOINGGGGG on a new Hw95 costing nearly double that. Seems that buyers are now expected to finish guns and the practice has infected top names, not just Weihrauch either. Still, means Mr Walls work isn't a luxury, its fast becoming a necessity. Good news for SFS!
  21. No worries. Bear Grylls briefed me on it. You have to wander down to the front desk of the Travelodge and tell Carlos to adjust the thermostat. Bear said since they've installed the revolving doors, elephant seal maulings have dropped 57% the 43% were due to people going out for a smoke and being greeted by rather dizzy and upset animals... Mr Grylls wisely advises puffing out the window.
  22. I dunno, that SMK with quick release scope mounts would make short work of it. Wouldn't need to leave the helicopter. Three passes...job done. Pellet tins dropping like shell cases from an Apache. Can see the hollywood screenplay writing itself now.
  23. I'm sure your favourite pellet manufacturer would be happy to para drop resupplies! Good PR stunt opportunity that. Ya think big tony from sfs will send Si and Davy there?! I would PAY to watch that episode!....
