during the season i dont get much time for any other hobby i give all the time i have to my harris hawk as i want her to be the best she can be and give her a good chance at doing that anything else isnt good good enough!! and you only get out what you put in!! atb stu

trooperman cheers for the advice mate i didnt do any of the work myself had a out of work mechanic do it he did say he did a back flush but i aint got a clue about cars!! i will get him to change injector seals when he does the work so far ive got the head skimmed for free the head gasket is going to cost £100 and the labour charge is £150 cheers stu

cheers guys the coolant container is full of fluid thats dirty brown water and when it overheats it splurts out the overflow pipe in the container!! im going to change the stat first then try flushing the system through fingers crossed its just that and not a new rad job!! thanks again (just to top it off with bad luck my ford transit work van broke down aswell with gear box problem

hi all bought myself a V reg nissan terrano 2 on sunday paid £1150 for it lovely motor really pleased with all apart from if you go over 65mph it overheats !!! has anybody on here had 1 and had same problem?? atb stu

had another bunny sunday and another on tuesday both not fantastic slips but still pleased for her and shes getting fitter by the day really looking forward to getting her out tomorrow she seemed really keen today with the high jumps in the garden getting a little vocal but not screams more like calls!! cheers guys appreciate your imput and kind words stu

ray marine and worth every penny especially if you hit a good mark save it with the finder and next time you go out it will plot you straight to the mark also good for finding dips or gullies where fish are, tells you the depth of the water your fishing in also shows you where wrecks are which is important nobody wants to anchor on a wreck!!! atb stu

cheers guys great buzz and yes cant wait to get back out although i fly her everyday unless its raining really really hard she has had a duck already and something else but i really want to get her taking rabbit!! i do have 1 permission that has at least 20 pheasants on every time we go but she's not mastered them yet so will keep flying her at them also cheers again and best of luck for the season to you all and hopefully i get some more pics of her taking game!! stu

took scarlet out today she had a couple of slips at rabbit that seemed really easy and missed and on the way back to the van she flew from the glove to about 30ft and come down like a ton of bricks on a rabbit (i didnt even see it sat there)well chuffed first of many i hope atb stu

ive only just got my first bird in august and was thinking of doing a course but luckly i found someone who was willing to tell and show me and i see him just about everyday the only thing is you my find a mentor but how do you know that he knows what hes on about ?? as i read a thread on the iff where some lad had a mentor yet he was asking there very basic questions that his mentor really should have known!! its tuff but with the right attitude and the right person behind you its great!!! have you googled to see if there is a local club/meet near you that you can contact to tag alone to tha

if i could give you 1 small piece of advice it would be to gain as much knowledge as you can through books and dvds (dr nick fox is good dvd) and if you havnt already get martin hollisheads the complete hare and rabbit hawk! then find someone who has experience (mentor) or find someone who has a bird and spend as much time with them soaking up as much as you can coz boy your gonna need it! im new to falconry and there is so much to learn and take in i have a young female harris and everyday with her is a school day! and at this present time 1 of the most important thing for me is being able
