  1. Thanks all, mounts arrived today and got set up fine with the mediums, clears the mag fine as you said Fry. Gillis -30 yards is about my max. With the scope set at 3 i put 10 shots through the paper all touching at 15 yards. Set the scope at 6 and all 10 shots at 30 yards in a 5p size group. That will do me fine for now. I hasten to add that was inside with gun resting on a pad for setting up the scope, hunting i generally shoot free standing which isn't nearly so accurate so rarely shoot over 30 yards. Griff
  2. Thanks Boxer mounts arrived today. Good communication, very helpful, posted out quickly couldn't ask for more. Griff
  3. Thanks Fry the mediums look fine. The guy did me a good deal on a set of each medium & high. It will save me the disappointment of getting them only to find they don't work and have to wait another week to get set up. I can keep the surplus set as a spare or pass them on. Thanks to all for the advice. Griff
  4. Still plenty of clearance to get the10 shot mag in & out ok? Any measurement of your mount you could give me would be really helpfull so i have a size to give the guy to check on the mounts he has on offer.
  5. Had the same discussion a few weeks back. I went for the aas410. Have a dive bottle & scope in the post so can't wait to get set up. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/258782-what-is-the-best-value-multi-shot-pcp/ If you don't already have a pump or a fill bottle try and get a deal on a full set up as it is generally cheaper unless you get a really good deal on a rifle by itself.
  6. Got an aas410 and want to mount a hawke sport hd 3x9x50 scope on it. Been offered medium or high mounts. Which do i go for? Anyone else got this set up? Griff
  7. Do they have two tightening serews where they mount on the gun and four on the scope clamp per mount?
  8. As title. To mount hawke sport hd 3x9x50 on a aas410 air rifle. Griff
  9. Looking for a air tank and scope if you want to split.
  10. Just tell me you did not buy it from Cheltenham did you? If you did it is likely to be a Thin Air Arms! Nope, North of Scotland right near home. Nice bloke to deal with and a genuine deal. No worries about origin.
  11. Thanks for the advise guys. I went for the aas410 classic. Picked one up on gunst*r for £300 delivered. Mint condition 2 x10 shot mags, moderator, fill adapter, carry bag, less than a tin of pellets through it and still in original box. So think is was a good deal. Just need a fill bottle/ pump and a scope now.
  12. As title 300 bar. Preferably with valve for filling air rifle. 7ltr or more preferred but consider anything. Will need posted so likely need to be empty. Pm me what you have. Thanks
  13. Hi Tiger, Really sorry to get your hopes up and mine for that matter, just looking at the photo's on your photobucket link again and see it is a right hand stock. I am gutted as i shoot left. My hw35 is an ambi stock so i didn't think twice about checking. I am glad though that i noticed before going ahead. It is a cracking gun though and a good price, looks like you have looked after it well. All the best with the sale. Thanks too for the links to confirm you are genuine, they worked for me and i was ready to do a deal, do the same for others and you should ave no problem with
  14. The one on my springer is a 3-9 x 50, not sure what make,no name but has a stags head logo on the side. A mate gave it to me. Fine for 15 yards + Maybe i just need to experiment a bit more. I just bought an aas410 and wasn't sure whether to swap the scope or look for something else. Thanks for the tips, you seem to know your stuff pianorma.
  15. Rabbits 45-50 yards in the open. And pidgens in a barn on the rafters say 5 yards?
  16. Problem i have is my scope is fine for distance work but not close up. What is a good all round scope without breaking the bank?
  17. Thanks guys. Been advised to get a 300bar bottle. Any idea how many fills you get out of your 232bar bottles?
  18. Just bought an AAS410 with no means to charge it. Would consider pump or bottle rig. Let me know what you have for sale. Thanks
  19. I have a .22 HW35 full working order. First gun, had it from new for 30 years. Just bought a pcp so may sell the old springer if you make me a good enough offer. Bit of sentimental value there though as been with me a long time. Full working order, have upgraded the spring & internals once and only had about a tin of pellets through it since so shoots better than ever did. Been a working gun not a show piece so not pristine but well looked after and maintained. Not sure what it chrono's but definitely has more clout than originally, you could have the original spring if this a concern.
  20. Whatever you go for i would advise you go for a full set up. You may see a gun by it self and think it's cheap but by the time you also buy a charge bottle or pump and a scope you end up paying more. Keep an eye out here on the sales pages you can pick up a reasonable full set up for £400 ish if you are patient.
  21. Yep that definatey hits the nail on the head!
  22. If stil for sale and you want to split i am after a fill bottle & scope.
  23. I use a 300bar pub co2 bottle for my mig welder. Any reason why co2 wouldn't work in a precharged air rifle? It's used in paint ball guns with good results but the internals may differ in some way. Don't worry i'me not about to try it without researching the subject, just thought someone on here may have experience in this area. In a vaguely related way, I Just bought my first pcp aas410 so i am looking for a reasonably priced used fill bottle or maby a pump if anyone has one surpluss to requirement let me know.
