Having the backing of the world's military super powers doesn't protect you from bullets and bombs, just ask the folk that lost life and limb fighting Julian Clary in Iraq and Afghanistan. Brave lads facing that sort of thing IMO regardless of who's firing the guns or planting the IEDs but apparently it's offensive to say so

The same with all high level athletes I'd say,it wouldn't surprise me if pro darts players took something to steady their nerves. Hopefully one day the testing will catch up and it'll be impossible to get away with. Darts and snooker players used to take propranolol (a beta blocker) to steady themselves, sure that's moved on and they've got new harder to detect PEDs now. -

Would it be just as offensive to say the soldiers who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan were brave lads then? After all they were fighting Julian Clary too but they were better equipped and had more back up so if anything their opponents were even less formidable.

Nonsense....it doesnt take balls to defeat a coward its relatively easy...................you just need to be allowed to do it !I'd say going off to fight in any war takes a certain amount of balls, even more so when they know they could end up being the star of the next ISIS execution video.
