Some advice on a variation please
riflehunter583 replied to hutchey's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
from my recent conversation with my local firearms manager who makes the decision said to me, ' potentially we can grant it' if you have been invited onto land with deer on it ALLREADY. once booked or the land owner with the deer on it grants permission in writing this might help you. but best to get the paperwork signed by the land owner first then ask the police for what you want after you have this. they seem to want the land passed for the desired rifle AND permission from the land owner in writing AND the target species to be on the land or at least the land owner to confirm this -

well testing the tenderfield, they are not hard to use when you get the hang of it. when testing it not shooting, a jay and a bunch of magpies came right onto me from a good distance away, it really got them making a noise and moving. not tried it yet tho.and the foxes round here just don't respond to any calls what ever i try. only bait. as for that video, well there are alot of strong opions out there it seems. and boy was that lady determined to save that fox. i think she was quite brave i would not fancy getting a bite off a fox. credit to her. but it may convince me to try out fox

everything when smoothly last time, even got a open condition right away and at that time i had very little land which was suitable for rimfire. now i have land whihc is allready passed for .223 and more land passed for.243 and good reason for the .223. fox control! i'm sure its japanese flag week for the feo concened. will speak to feo politetly. i have writen a letter, and also explained why i have good reason to use the said calibre. i'm with the countryside alliance so maybe they can draft a second letter for me quoting some home office rules. at the end of the day once aga -

a lad off here which knows derbyshire police had advised me not to go down the .243 route initially even though i decided this was the best route. so instead i'm putting in for a .223. -

Wanted hawke panorama 3 - 9 * 50 half mill dot
riflehunter583 replied to riflehunter583's topic in Optics and Night Vision
Don't know if you have managed to get one but I have this model (Hawke Panorama HK5161 3-9x50 IR EV half mil dot scope with flip-ups) bought new in April this year for £139 + £17 for flip ups. It is in mint condition and I would be happy to sell for £100 posted. No offers - as I am quite happy to keep it even though it is surplus to requirements at present. if its the half mill dot , and its in excellent condition and holds zero well i will have it. -

i'll keep my cool and tread carefully, stamping me feet all the way!! i'm getting the feeling i should have just put fox on the variation. as its allready on my cert for .22lr . a lad advised me to get deer on it for if i go up north or by invite down this way. maybe deer is to much for these bureaucrates to think about. wel they better think on as i have land thats passed for .243 now and there are deer on it not just passing through, land owner will confirm it so they better give me a .223. it just frustrates me for them to mess around for 4 weeks, take £26, and tell me there -

are you lot being racist all rabbits are made equal -
put my variation in 4 weeks ago with Derbyshire police. i put in for a .223 for foxing and small deer. the land is passed for .223 previously /allready. came back today. new certificate with one thing changed on it. i can now get a .22c/f moderator but no .223 or .223 ammo. so by mistake they have allowed me to buy a .22 c/f moderator which i could not buy before. so i rang the admin and they looked on the computer. apparently the firearms manager has refussed the application 'no good reason'!!!!!!!!!! so now i am 26£ down, with the same as i had before and a slot for a c/f moderat

i have no idea about controlling foxes with dogs, but are the people that do this saying dogs always kill the fox when the dogs get onto them? on the subject of the thread. i just brought a tenderfield call the other day and after an hour of messing around with it figgered out how to use it and its loud and can call over long distances. so far i like it and think its worth using further to see what results it produces.
