Iv got lurcher but my uncle has just had a litter of whippit pups and im thinking of keeping one back for myself they were born today but i want to get as much infomation on how to train and start them working and advice would be greatful !

Was out up the moutian today with the two lurchers and at one point about 30 sheep were walking towards us both lurchers were stand behind me but one sheep run towards one of the dogs and chased him 200 yards down the feild i found it pretty fun anyone else had this happen?

They wouldnt follow the car so he sat in the boot with it open lol they got pulled on the way back all seat belts on by then haha

As my uncle is 72 an now retired he helps out keeping my dogs fit but yesterday he was pulled by poilce someone reported him for dragging dogs behind a car up the mountian road while the lurchers wasnt even on leads my cousin was sitting in the boot and the dogs just followed police just said some people just dont understand and the dogs look it great shape lol

I have a bull x an two whippet bu i have much more fun with my whippets they will hunt bush and catch them and there pace of the mark is unblievable they just love to catch rabbits can not ask any more

Thanks for The advice lads he still thinks its a game and he follows me all the time the treat thing is working carry on doing it there no point rushing with him got plenty of time thanks again another lessson learnt

Well the chicken worked a treat he coming on the call an retrieving the rabbit gone put alot of time into him for next year now

Right my uncle has a whippet given him as the owner no longer has time for him he a very well breed dog all paper with him but he was very nervous i have been work with him an hes come around abit but still wont come to me hes always trying to play running away from me and its alway a pain to catch him cause he his lightening fast an will hopefully make a really good ferreting dog any ideas how to get him to come To me when called hes a about 2 years old and advice would be grateful thanks
