    any tree that loses its leaves in autum is a hard wood,,nd can be used as a catty,holly is good too ,, i can make you a natural catty for a £10 with thera band gold on now thats cheep ,,,

    yeah thats why i just said use juicer,,also made a press out of gas underground plastic pipe nd a caravan leg with a oak disc that fits inside pipe but its just quicker wi juicer

    yes mate i have the use of all apples in a orchard so its a crossed mixed bunch of apples.. i can add lemon juice nd put i few grapes though juicer too as i make it in 19 liter water butts,,ive got it down to a fine art now,,, just thought i would share a easy way to make cider without a press nd rest of hassle

    if you dont add sugar or yeast it wont be as strong i also add grapes to mix sometimes just to give it a boost ..

    been using a juicer to make cider from apples nd pears,,takes alot of the work out of it just put juice in demi john just over half add sugar nd yeast ,,top up with water ,,i get all apples nd pears free ,,, very strong stuff it is too :yes:

    try on the airgun part mate there is a kid that makes stocks,some of them might need a stock doing,put a pic up of your work,

    made then years ago out of broken car spot lights from scrap yards,used down fall pipe as handle with switch inside(off a broken strimmer) ,plant pot on front to stop glare,,all held together with black tape,,oh nd clear glass cut to size on front after you broke glass ov spot light,thats because spot light off cars have a better spot with clear on,ok they are not as good as light force,,but at £10 all in cheeper bulbs too ,,,best ones where oscar cibies but they used to be heavy,,, always better to get one free less messing,, :D

    i use double bands also harpoon elastic in cattys 8mm is my fav as it hits hard nd has more speed than 12mm ,but if you can use 12mm its gunna kill owt you can hit,,

    put a hole in them on the side straight through,, thread wire through holes,,must be stiff wire,,,stick wire in ground each end with all empty cartridges on,,,, shoot with air gun hoping they spin to show bottom too shoot at again,, or just put them on bottom of your walking sticks

    i think he wood find it hard to get english woods,ive done a few from conker tree,,+ hawthorne they are strong as owt nd french polished up would look great

    i find thats far too big nd heavy 12mm round in lead,if 5 mm steel kills in cattys so will 5mm lead,,, i like 8mm round leadshot best,its alot more accurate + cheeper

    so easy to make a lamp out of a car spot light,, nd battrys are cheep from alarm fitters, best is a light force i know but at £

    i find lead shot 8mm is more accurate to shoot from a catty,,is there any links that is just for catapults in uk,,,as am trying to find a scrap man from sheffield that runs a compo in a pub garden :whistling:
