  6. this one i made out off a conker tree using tubes instead of thera band
  7. while the pin looks good,,i would take it out pull the elastic through hole nd tie it onto its self use some thera band or even a elastic band,,that way as you pull the pin is not digging into the elastic,,check that the brass is not sharp anywhere causing it to cut the elastic,,or even try tubes that would fit though the hole then use a ballie to stop the elastic coming back though hope this helps atb micckey,,,
  8. well at least i know you can make them now,,,,,bit untidy how you tie them on the thera bands that is but the top ones i like
  9. one ive done off him sharp is not the word,,, wow cheers
  10. very nice,, what is the gap size of the forks please
  11. i cut them out of cardboard first to see how they feel in my hand,,but you can get patterns off bill hays from usa nd most do ,,copy this bloke's designs i could put personlising or enhancing but you are wanting to copy a pattern yes
  12. this is the oak one ive made hand carved,,,
  13. dont know if you tryed just one band ,,but it is easy to pull back with one band,, you wont lose too much power nd it could be the strain of trying to pull too far back with bands two on each side thats causing you to twist your catty on release,, or not relese straight banded,,ffs dont try 5mm steel to practice with off ebay cos they are cheep nd if you do dont tell anyone... keep smiling have fun,, these are only suggestions on how to practice ...
  14. i didnt invent the sling shot, i was once told it was someone's idear to use crosslpy nd thera band nd everyone coppeid him in england while he copied from a bloke in usa hope this explains it for you why do you ask?
  15. designed to be shot as seen but also to spice them up if you like,i am making a hand carved oak one at mo + two other solid hard wood ones,,,so ive not finnished one of these as i am not sure on elastic to use,,i hate the crossply ones as i hate crossply for cattys, but the lads that make em do a realy realy good copys ;)
  16. look on utube the great bill hays from usa,, he shows you how to shoot cattys better than words can i would also try using one band instead of doubble at first,,
  17. ,you practice every day nd have done for 25 years, ,,you have more money than me nd live in a better area ,but when i offered to take you on at anything your flapping lips can think of, ,you wanted half way fule, your dog was too young,(i have made no excuses),you say i have to use 5mm to beat you i ve said ok,,you also say i must do my research then i will fear you, ,,,yes i somtimes dont even read what you write,,,why because anyone that has to brag about using a catty everyday for 25 years is rather boring  ,5mm steel is easy to get off ebay cheep nd lighter to ca
  18. these are what you are trying to make yourself look important about, your talking mm's trying to prove yourself better,,i stated that using 5mm would help this lad practice maybe he would not get as many fork hits using smaller ammo...,,jumpping to silly conclushions nd making challenges is all about you.. just as your name says your name is>>my dogs better<< everyone aggree's with you all your mates nd eveyone on here,,end of chat ...now go bother some one else who will stroke your ego....google that...
  19. wait nd see... you are good with written words,,,i have not the words to prove you wrong ballistically but you are!,,,some people may follow you like the school bully that needs a crowd...to state that i use 5mm is wrong,,i am sorry to use this lads post to answer you but i will prove you wrong,,,i make ammo too nd moulds for lead at any size mm you like,,so my dogs better you made the challenge i excepted it,,now dont try backing out using fule cost,,i am trying to find the pub where all these lads shoot cattys cos i want to meet these lads that use cattys..not to sell or ridicule any bodys
  20. :hmm: :whistling: in air guns why is 177 use for field target shooting rather than 22 + a 22 pellet will kill most game at 20 yards,,so 5mm or 8 mm shot from doubble theraband gold would be shooting well over 12ft lb psi Airguns aren't catapults. You can't compare the two. 5mm is way too small for anything. That's .20 cal. The smallest I use is 9mm steel when I'm shooting through dense branches and leaves. I can thread a steel ball through a gap and headshoot birds or squirrels. 9mm steel doesn't usually kill squirrels, even with a headshot but it knocks them from the tree, if the
