I don't tbh mate, the ones i have seen are just show bred stuff, its ok to discuss the breeds past as a lion hunting dog, but its the same as reading the breed history of the borzoi, Irish wolfhound, Cairn Terrier, British Bulldog etc etc, they all have interesting histories, but thats what they are.....history Theres some nice stuff in southen africa still but when it comes to guarding people over there prefer the GSD,Rottweiler & Boerboel.

dogs weren't bred to attack the lion only to keep it at bay for the marksmen. Greyhound were bred into mastiff & hounds to make th Ridgeback I think So you could get the odd throw back which is faster then others????? I'm not sure anyway but 99.99% over in here are pets\show dogs & guard dogs I thought.
