skycat an northernlite well done for trying to get the guy sorted, i firmly beleive that a pup is the best way to go, im not saying folk should never get an older dog, but a pup makes far more sense to me for the reasons skycat has already pointed out, there is also a litter of pups advertised on here, normaly i wouldnt tell anybody to buy a pup off this site, but in this case i know an can/will vouch for lamp+battery an his dogs, so much so that my ferreting partner has got himself 1, an only reason i never is i got a pup on now, take skycat or northernlites offer mate, either that or go an h

dont want to throw a spanner in the works mate, but id much rather have a pup from the dam(6/8 weeks old), especially seeing as this will be your first dog, id seriously recomend that ye get a young pup an start from scratch, i promise if you do the pup will teach ye more than anybody on this site, im not a million miles away from where you have to go an get ye dog if ye decide to get it, if ye realy want somebody to come an have a look an gee an honest opinion i could do that of needs be, but i repeat, id try me hardest to get a pup out of 2 working lurchers an bring it on yaself

what a intelligent response,next time i put a thread up asking if anyone could possibly help,dont bother replying.as for others yes tried him lamping and with other experienced dogs,he just seems to like the chase then forget he should be catching them.last year when mixi was all over a permission i have he caught loads since then hes gone back to running flat out everywhere he goes. he needs regular work mate, proper hard graft i reckon

was talking to a guy the other day an this is what i heard lol years ago on a dairy farm they had loads a rats, the older farmer(Actually the guy that told the storys father) laid several live catch rat traps about the farm, every day he would empty the live rats into a large cage in 1 of the barns, when the live traps started to dry up catching he stopped feeding the rats in the communal cage an they become canibals, he left them till there was only 1 left, which was by now the biggest hardest rat an a canibal to boot, so he then let the canibal rat go back on the farm an it ate all the r
