    my mate had a 4lb brownie out our local stretch a river, never even seen 1 bigger than 1lb took from there, to say he was chuffed was an understatment haha he was trotting maggots for rgayling as it goes

    Small mepps are lethal on wild browns. My 10 year old uses them all the time in the hill lochs, whilst I am floating the fly! A small black one with the orange spots seems to work the best, out of the ones he uses. we have used same tactics while fishing the smaller rivers for brownies, an for the big rainbows in the lakes we use big rapala pike plugs an they seem to sort the bigger fish from the small ones

    Thats right......but there's the above book on there now for half that and its not selling !!!! Just beware of sellers that get their mates to inflate the prices.

    Theres your first caveat right there,the very name of the place is enough to set alarm bells ringing,what was the name Haswell always synonymous with?Dog Dealers!I still remember seeing someone swap a bunch of chickens for a lurcher pup at the livestock mart there,I thought Paul&Scooby lived towards penshaw or Herrington? in the past year hes lived at sherburn, bishop auckland, herrington and haswell. He obviously moves about for a reason does he live in a caravan
