  4. Giro a good few years ago we was on a hunting holiday up there staying right up on the east coast and had a trip up to see Tommy at his cottage. He had packed in with the lurchers and kept and trained sheepdogs. But was a real nice quiet spoken fella who told us his tales from yester year and was a pleasure to meet, he also put us on two some spots to get a run with the dogs while we was up there Atb

  11. I used to get hung up on percentages but came to learn that because its 1/16 deerhound there could in reality be alot more deerhound blood in the dog and it could look very deerhound like. Just an example of course. A dog with half collie could throw to look nothing like a collie and look saluki even though there is only an 1/8 saluki blood gone in. Gaz Exactly, just enjoy your dog and graft it and don't get too hung up on 1/8 this and 1/16,s that Cheers Atb

  14. Its a preset net mate running out of a basket, you have to put some sort of band or grommet over the half hitch to hold it in place because there will be no tension on the top and bottom lines when nets loaded in basket so they will come undone, i agree about keeping tension when running out and more so in a traditional web Cheers Atb never read it properluy, i thought he had used a preset an was now trying a trad sorry to the op for the wrong advise, should read things properly next time
  15. Am on about a bit further down the road J, am sure you will know were i used to lamp mate. But feck all there now
  16. Chadd i have done those area,s back in the day and i don't think there is now the same number of bunnies round there as there used to be mate, and tomo,s right they wernt difficult to catch in the stone walled fields of the peak district cheers Atb
  17. I agree smithy, but for some reason the top line goes saggy and the bottom line is tight at times, am thinking that maybe when i threaded the net and put the poles on it, i maybe somehow ended up with a slightly longer bottom line than the top. And that,s what is possibly fooking the net up. Maybe i should start again adding the poles to it and try to keep the top and bottom lines same length when starting with the first pole and adding the new ones every five yrd ? Cheers atb
