Is it legal to take bourbons single handed at hetton lyons? Chocolate ones? Yeah chocolate ones, but don't dip them too long or they will break off in your tea !

I believe the management of the red deer herds are best left to the Staghounds and would be a bit of a hypocrite if I said anything else lol. I've never ran deer since the ban so it's not something I can really comment Fair enough neither have i, was talking early 90,s very well preban and my limited experience of taking the big critters Cheers Atb

If a dogs got to push a roe and fence bounce it, it aint got the minerals simples Atb

Fully agree with what your saying moscow, however when you could legally run them preban. And am talking reds only, sometimes it would take a fence or gutter ect to stop them . And leveller i do agree you can train a dog to come off stuff as i could call my old hancock bitch off rabbits, but i do think it would depend on the breed of dog. Pastorial types and other more easily trained types yes, however in the 90,s i ran a minshaw dog and know way would you of called the dog off deer once slipped and if i could of i would of questioned his preydrive and ability. Also leveller you say you dont

Just like to say i have really enjoyed this thread, been some good reading and some cracking photo,s. I have had dogs on and off for a little over twenty years mainly lamping and ferreting dogs and also did a few seasons digging with the terriers. I never got into the coursing scene, however if i could turn the clock back i would liked to have give it a try, don't get me wrong have coursed and caught daytime long ears on varied ground, but never seen a dog run the fens. Alas the best times for you lads have gone now, and you just have to do the best you can. I would of loved the crack of mee

Good advice from millet, i got into falconry while at school and when i left i got a job doing bird control on the airbases and refuse sites down south. Had a good crack as a seventeen year old living on my own down there with my birds, when i think what i paid for a harris back then. But gave it all up when i met a falconer down there who used to dig and lamp. Thats when i got on the rocky road to dogs ! LOL Cheers Atb -

maybe if you had a beeter dog might get it faster lol used them for years great we lamp lazerlite that is atb Preban maybe just for rabbits, but other things can take a dog a fair way in the beam and the lazerlight wont cut it for that Atb
-
I used to lamp with a lazorlight in the 90,s and to be honest god knows how i managed the beam seems so weak now. So last season changed the reflector and the bulb to blazerlight standard and it is slightly better, however i still find the beam too weak compared to my old coleman 800,000 or a present lightforce. In fields any bigger than a postage stamp for me they just don't cut the mustard anymore. They don't light up the quarry enough and don't throw a good enough beam of any length, its a shame because there a cracking little handy sized very robust lamp with the sidelight which is a godse

Had two astra,s second one being a 05 cdti diesel one cracking engine that was good on fuel and cheap tax, also had an old peugeot 405 diesel estate that wernt bad on juice and not in bad nick for a P reg, thinking of looking at the peugeot 406 diesel now. They seem cheap money for a dogging bus and are supposed to be reliable Cheers Atb

CHICKEN FRIDAY !!!!!!!!
freelance replied to freelance's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Bought mine second hand off fleabay it didn't make its reserve so i mailed him an offer, i think i paid about sixty quid or there abouts. It was a bargain at that . Although i did rewire it and give it a lick of paint Cheers Atb -
Today was chicken friday, my mate goes to the abattoir for me and pics up boxes of chicken backs at £3 a box. Not sure of the exact weight of the box but there fairly heavy and you sure get your three quids worth. Along with the chicken we add raw veg and mince it all up, obviously throughout the season rabbits and all game get put through as well to give the runners a balanced and varied diet. The mincing room/dog/man shed LOL The boxes of chicken backs. Chopped up and going through the mincer with a few veg. Four boxes done. And in the freezer.

Cheers for the pics chaps, it is better off side but i still think it is a weak point were the connector goes into the battery and if mine would still do some mods on them. As if the lead gets jerked or gets pulled at full stretch for whatever reason i think that connector will fook up as it is just not robust enough for the job. Deben really should have gone back to the drawing board with this and came up with a better design. Just my thoughts gents Cheers Atb
-
The problem now is when you get a tug in a different county off the ANPR and don't have a valid reason for being there at daft-o-clock
-
Keeganrees can the new connector be fitted to the older units, like mine in the pics above ? And yeah get some pics of it up so i can get an idea what they look like Cheers atb
