i have been trying to purchase a pedigree saluki bitch for my daughter for nearly 18 mths and have never encountered anything so difficult my daughter is very knowledgeable as far as dogs are concerned she as been brought up with saluki hybred lurchers you just cannot find salukies in this country to buy and believe me i have searched high and low i have friends all over the country constantly looking for that elusive advert we would import but you cannot even get information as how do you do it forget the saluki club they are a non entity they just do not go outside there small circle of frie

i have had lurchers for 40 years and there is not a man in this country i would allow to judge my dogs in a showring my dogs are judged on what they do out in the field my opinion is if you want to show dogs buy a poodle my opinion is the majority of those judges who profess to know dogs know jackshit

ive had a couple as a kid from pups ive lamped em and caught 20 pluses with em on a regular basis took moutain hares with em on the lamp they used to jump five bar gates and fences i wont pick no dog over they are not my cup of tea now but if they are brought up as lurchers they dont know any different
