i personally use a natural wood one its about 30 yrs old this particular fork .ive also seen some very usefull alloy forks that are very nice in the hand . try to get a fork that fits into your hand comfortable .with about an inch of handle coming out the bottom of your clenched hand .your middle knuckle of your fore finger coming to the top of your one prong on your fork and your thumb on the near top of the other prong of your fork .so your catty is fitting into your hand .you dont just hold the handle .you hold the whole catty in your hand when using it .in the right hands and made right a

do you think these articles are excessively priced . im not jumping on your case .but i think that as some one whos used a catty in the field for nearly 50yrs ,im in a posistion to make comment. to any youngster looking to purchase a catty id say leave these well alone theyre not practical and poorly made .and most definately not made by experienced catty users. this post is only put up to save any youngsters wasting 50 quid .

Its worth keeping in mind Leonard didnt just beat Hagler he completely dominated him......dominated one of the greatest middleweights in history who had cleaned up the entire division and who was a massive favorite to win..................and having been out of the ring 4 years and jumped from welterweight to middleweight to do so.......id say if ever there was a fighter who at his peak was unbeatable......Ray Leonard was very close to it...............personally i dont think Mayweather could of dealt with Leonard or Hearns........infact i think Hearns would of beat him even more convincingly

hes had favours done for him mate . hes a f*****g grass him
-
im sure it was an epilectic fit if my memory serves me right .he was 41 .he was a real throwback was dai .as tough as teak
-
I didnt have you down as that old Brookie.....certainly a great fight i once heard it said about Leonard " he is the best at nothing but second best at everything "...always thought it was a good description.......if im not wrong that fight was the month before Ali,s last fight........they said at the time it was the best and worst the sport had to offer ! i am getting a cranky old git now gnash .lol .heres one for you if my memory is right . do you remember john mugabi ,fighting a bloke called .i think it was james sawn of green .i think it was an eliminator [bANNED TEXT] the hagler fight
-
ive criticised frank in the past .sometimes foolishly .looking back he had some right ding dongs did frank .and fought great against lewis at cardiff .frank fought some very good fighters and more than accounted for himself a very strong man with good heart and a sledge hammer for a jab
-
I did indeed......and a few others Funso Banjo,Trevor Curry......and the one who hit harder than all of them was Horace Notice but he wasnt quite big enough......Horace was like a smaller version of Bruno if he,d had a bit more size to him he,d of been a top fighter in my opinion......Bruno and Mason with the big 12 ounce gloves on even if you blocked the punch they could still get you over.......it was a strong gym back then Andries,Kaylor,Watt,Pyatt,Magri,Jimmy Batten,Honeyghan,Laing when he felt like it ! .good on you gnash .youve earnt your stripes mate
-
Did Calzaghe ever have " a battle " ?.........I remind you of what he said in his book ......words that got the backs up of fighters in gyms up and down the country at the time....... " i would never have taken part in fights like those that finished the careers of Mcllellend and Watson " gnash heres a question for you . how much of blame would you attribute to bad refereeing to these two men being injured as badly as they were mate ? i certainly think the ref slipped up badly in the mc clelland fight
-
wanted a pair of young love birds .with a cage if possible .im in south wales .all pm s answered thanks
-
this was another good fight .the 70s and 80s i think produced some of the all time great fights and fighters
-

-
these two to me were all time greats .and i think this was a great fight ,i had my money on hearns to win this at the time

unless we all wake up and vote ukip in next election we will be a muslim nation and be ruled by a muslim government within 3o yrs .there be no way back then.
-
x 2 !...........Gets better and better this lad. When you look back at the great fighters through history most of them had " a rivalry ".....another opponent/s of the same magnitude Ali/Frazier/Foreman......Robinson/LaMotta......Pep/Saddler.....Hagler/Hearns/Leonard/Duran.....Benn/Eubank etc etc........they made each other.......thats why its so vital during your era at the top to fight the other big names at the top.....by Calzaghe not fighting Hopkins or Jones in their prime and putting more importance on an unbeaten record he waved goodbye to the possibility of a historic rivalry.......
-
dont forget minder .sweeney .open all hours .and only fools and horses .saturday afternoon you had the choice of grandstand with brough scott or world of sport with dickie davies .you could catch up then with all the american fights as well .great viewing then .now its all crap

-
Will do mate.........just for you to be getting on with heres the Espn list which is generally accepted as being a pretty popular choice.......... Calzaghe is number......................................................oh dear. http://garageboxing....g-entry-12.html Have fun gnash thats really put the cat among the pigeons lol.cant say i agree with it though. boyo that list should be hung on the back of the toilet door mate .what a load of bollox it is , if it lists larry holmes at number 38 when he was arguably one of the all time great heavey weights and i mean in the top two

a great fighter was joe .supremely confidant ,nothing and i mean nothing would phase joe or bother him .if joe walked into a jungle to fight a gorilla he would be convinced he was going to win he wouldnt have a single doubt he was going to lose .superb boxing skills with fantastic hand speed .a true professional in every way .from an amateur and through out is professional career i doubt very much if theres any one in the world with a better record .from a child to retirement i think he only lost one fight as a kid .
