  1. fair play to you , it was a bad day today good one for sticking at it .seems to be a fair few about this year
  2. timing is everything on a deep one ,start digging to soon and dog will dig under you and ferther up the tube and could be way off by time you get there ,and start to late and the dog may have took a lot of stick before you start digging and may be at least a couple of hours digging before you get there after that .and at 10 ft or more you can only be digging one hole and then your into darkness and things get realy hard . it also helps a lot if you know the terrier . best of all you got the dog back safe and thats what matters and good luck with your future digs because you,ll do it again
  3. straight down and keep your sides straight
  4. what ever the % dont really mater, its the weight that counts. To much weight you loose agilty, my last2 bullxs were 70- 77lb. They were fast+agile, and unless you get the fox close, you will need all that agilty catch the fecker. A fox is fast and can turn like hares at times . that just about sums the fox up. i often wonder which is the better turner the hare or the fox. i,d say the fox . and the dog has to learn his game quick, as we all know the fox is the best at pulling out all the tricks and making his get away
  5. cheers mate ,there,s no point in bigging the dogs up if they not up to the job
  6. its the same as using two greyhounds to flush from cover ,as 2 hounds would be within the law but would this be legal

  9. £262.791 a very good price ,i paid £300 and would pay it again. barryvox also make the new bellman collar plus shipping but i think it arround 6 to 10 pounds. world wide servis 5 y guarantee whats the difference with this new software stuff on the barryvox? mine works perfectly im just interested in whats new... i think it s more accurate and quicker, the cross is changing from igger to smaller..... how much does this cost? have a look for yourself pal http://www.mammut.ch/en/newfirmware.html
  10. had the same thing happen many years back to a friends russell ,ran over tracks and train killed it ,these things can happen a lot while working dogs ,its not nice but happens .another mate lost his lurcher over a cliff in wales not long back .the sad thing is it always happens to the good dogs

  13. had both boxs out at weekend ,bellman said dog was under left side of dig (2mtr dig) and barryvox was saying it was under righthand side of dig ,so we broke through and the barryvox was bang on the dogs head the bellman was a tad off but both good box,s .the barryvox for me every time with the bellman collar .has never let me down even on some realy deep digs .only bad thing about it is when i turn it off it runs the batteries dead ,so i have to take them out when not using them. might just be my box but would like to know if any one elses doe,s this must be something wrong with your

  18. make sure every thing is treated for the virus as another pup in the same pen or house might go the same way
  19. the one in the middle of your telescopic sight best by far dosnt miss much
  20. a good friend had one a few year back that was the same totaly bold ,not a hair on it .apparently another lad dived on it when it hit the net . but never had any since .. dogs always get ear mites from a certain area we dig each season .but never had that much trouble with mange
  21. Personaly I would of listed gameness, inteligence, and a good nose above anything else. i agree but that should have already been done for you over the years of good breeding ,just chucking worker over worker brings bad traits in unless the workers have a good long line behind them then it shouldnt be a problem . Thats basically what i said in my other post mate.

  23. very well put FD ,the gene pool of the proper working terriers is diluted enough, with enough shite flying around so why breed more
