    was out ferreting with a mate....a tall barbed wire fence seperated us...with a 100m walk to get round.... the rabbits were bolting from his side...with my dog on my side... we just passed the dog...over the fence and under the barbed wire

    to be honest.... i much prefer my board cut designs.... ive given all my naturals away... i couldnt tell you which wood was best.... i just shoot them....and sometimes make them. regards to the wood burning tool..... that guy i know....who copied me ....used the burner to etch in his band grooves.....a quicker way.... but not as aesthetically pleasing.... i capped the ends of the naturals in wax....but the best one....had already split....but will wait and see....

    IMO ferreting is all about the first 20 yards...... agile dogs will be be worth their weight in gold around many sets.... not many people have the permission with flat ground and rolling hills....

    the ones mick dadd had for sale were identical im sure.... same net in it....but plastic coated... and at 23 quid i thought they was cheap... was going to buy one.... but my barrel works fine rm2508 got one though...decent bit of kit.

    that catty serving you well i take it It is indeed thank you - I've been more than impressed with it bands decent enough? ive moved onto 040 latex singles.... a bit better than the theraband.

    whos LR? these baskets were sound..23 quid..... he tried to sell everybody....anything would have taken a small brass catty from him....if i didnt have to sell the dog to buy it

    granted there wasnt too many trade stands....could have been a lot more.... but regards to dogs....there was loads... coursing hurdles racing gundogs jnr gundogs full dog show agility flyball whippet coursing main ring demo.... loads of have a go stands....rifles...shotguns....muzzle loaded guns....archery.... what more are yous asking for? if there was less of the above and packed full of trade it would have been a lot worse off. if there was more trade stands it would have been spot on. weather was scorching too.

    seen a few posts on here a while back....and also spoke to a mate who said he was a waank.... seen him a couple of years ago...cant remember when.... and thought he was an arrogant cnut to be honest.... but to be fair.... seen him over the weekend at the yorkshire game fair... had one of the smallest....but most interesting stalls at the fair...nets of all sorts...snares....catapults (which were SUPER expensive).....longnets baskets (which were pretty cheap)..... the stuff...the average ferreter/netter would use. also had some cord game carriers....which im relieved to
