  1. ALTBERG WARRIOR MICROLITE BOOTS SIZE 8M. got these 12 months ago and used them a few times. they are in GREAT condition. nicely padded and comfy to wear. they are waterproof and have a SYMPATEX lining. they also have a VIBRAM sole. these retail around the £140-150mark which is what i paid for them. nothing wrong with these at all. great condition and will serve you well. i cant reccomend these boots enough. ONLY reason for selling is due to buying a few new pairs of boots and favouring the lighter 'sneeker' boots due to a knee operation. (warriors are very
  2. You wont go far wrong there can vouch for his ferrets. Ive got 3 hobs here. You can have a shot of all 3 if you want but theyve not got a bollock between them. I also have access to a BEW hob. Hes only young just now. If your interested PM me
  3. If need be i could have my dogs out the back door and make them dissapear for a few days before they got to my front door. Id just hide the whippet under the bed But ive nothing to hide and was glad to find that information and be clued up on it.
  4. Not sure if this has been up before but its certainly good to have a read and know your rights if they do come knocking. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS- http://the-shg.org/Basic%20legal%20advice%20for%20pet%20owners.htm If somebody could copy the text and paste it in here then that would be great. Cant do it properly on my phone
  5. @newfiesmum (second post ) - you're right, we don't have police powers, despite common misconceptions, and I know that this causes a lot of frustration amongst many who think that we can rush into a situation and take a dog from someone simply because the conditions aren't ideal. We have to act within the law at all times which can be frustrating on our part too.________________ __I'm the Digital Communications Officer for the RSPCA, I love animals and would love to hear from you, so if you have any questions feel free to PM me! 6. Both these slips are FREE to anybody who would make gpod use of them The second slip i think is decent and i have made a couple. One or two of them going. Can post them if you pay postage or pickup anytime Not the best slips but they sure work and would appreciate some honest feedback. Good or bad

  8. I think theyre called 'panic snaps'. http://www.wwlhardware.com/snaphooks-general.html
  9. I hadnt ordered one. Said id paid but then said i didnt. Ebay said its an issue with the android mobile system. Feck knows. Im sure ill survive without.
  10. Got a live trap here. In the event of a lost ferret i would just put some food in and cover with my jacket.
  11. They look on the balls ross. But honestly. Wouldnt pay a tonne for wellies. I understand what your saying about you get what you pay for, but like has been said- what dif you take the toe off with a spade or stand on a nail. I think fifty pound is the maximum i would pay for a pair. I look at it this way. 100 with once chance of an accident in them or 50 and you could buy 2 just incase Ofcourse, if i had a payment plan it would be different (cue whistle)
  12. Wellies are replaced with a new pair and was told to keep the damaged pair for the inconvenience. Bit of rubber glue and the wellies are sorted .
  13. I only use my dogs with the ferrets when out for rabbits and both are differant but happy with both the way the are with some slight improvement still to be worked on with one bitch. Bitch no 1- Fast and picks rabbits with ease, great on the turn and the down points are likes to move from holes to wonder where her next chase is from and also not got the bring the rabbit back thing quite right yet. seems to have more brains Bitch no 2 Steady at holes come back with rabbit as soon as she gets it but not got the speed of Bitch no 1 or the same turn so tends to over shoot a few rabbits Do
  14. He speaks welsh..... when hes got a mouthfull of food and tries to talk
  15. second is a pair of jungle boots size 10. brand new. these are WELLCO jungle boots. not waterproof but very light. i wouldnt recommend these for winter use although i wear mine day to day with no issues. they are extremely light and with the upper being light it means they can be bent so would fit in your bag like a pair of trainers. the grip on these is superb, they have a panama sole on them which is thick and chunky. these would be ideal for summer use and as a general 'decent' weather boot. the ones in the pictures are my own ones which have little spots of white spray pain
  16. got my new altberg yesterday and decided its time to let a couple of pairs of boots go as ive got them coming out of my ears. im only selling the lowa's as theyre a heavy boot and ive just had a knee operation so favouring the lighter altbergs. first is the lowa mountain boots. size 9. these boots are well worn and been with me a few years. seen a lot of work. they show the signs of a lot of graft and a few chew marks off the dog when she was a pup which i have made a point of showing in the pictures. they are not the GTX version as i dont like goretex boots. in my opinion on
  17. Was a good few hours out and the little guy enjoyed himself
  18. blue rope/an old dog lead/shoelaces/ a sock all do the same job mate, was just having a mess about with it to see what i came up with used most of them bar the sock i am the same mate does the para cord not stretch abit atb proper paracord wont stretch mate. its super durable. im not sure about this stuff. its a cheaper paracord. got it a while back from a camping shop and used it to tie some suff onto the roof of the car. its quite soft so not too harsh on the hands. i could make one out of the real stuff but it would be too thin. i lost a sliplead one night and didnt

  21. revised the slip lead i made a few days ago. tried it out and im not keen on it at all. SO... had some thinner cord lying about. i went with the 'slip through the collar' that i already use and knocked up another. the wrist loop tightens and loosens but with enough gap so with the dog pulling it doesnt tighten on your hand. if that makes sense i made the loop with a paracord pattern so it doesnt dig in (would act like a cheesewire if i didnt) very simple design and just loops through the collar and hold with you finger. same as most use with blue rope/ an old lead et
  22. Its £3. If it lasts a couple of days ferreting then youve had your moneys worth. Ive just got it to keep my wellies in. Or a bag for the wee man to carry his nets and flask
