    Went ferreting next to the airport on georges permission and the airport police came and took all details and wasnt happy at all bout the dog- said he wasnt sure if it was legal!! George went ferreting a few years prior to this and the airport police turned up armed!! That was only ferreting!! Feck knows what they would be like with a lamp at night!

    So what your vet is saying is to breed your bitch on her 2nd or 3rd season??? If your bitch has her 1st season at 8 months and her 2nd at 14 months...this is when your vet recommends bredding her??? It's still a pup FFS and has to mature !!! Let alone catch a few fecking rabbits.

    Some bitches have 2 seasons per year so potentially breeding from a 18 month old dog........

    Youve only just got one of the dogs and planning to breed from her before shes proved herself? Theyre both litter sisters right? So wouldnt you be best finding out which ones the better dog and breeding from her? Both got the same blood running through them. Are you keeping one?

    went out for a walk today with RM2508 and the dogs. decided to take a couple of ferrets but no nets to see if we could try a little burrow he had seen when out. the weather was good and the sun was shining. i had all 3 of my dogs but RM just brought his younger lurcher. so let the dogs run about for a while and burn some energy while we had a little look about. found a well used burrown under a pilon and put one of the ferrets in. less then 5 second later a rabbit bolted and my young pup was on it straight away.     I couldnt stop laughing at the fact geo tripped a belter, flat out on the grass- then when i see his rifle that was me finished At least the only break of the night was material and not one of ours, or my dogs leg Think the wooden block came off bad too! Geo took it well. More interested in his gun lamp.

    Cheers, me and ross will run the lure regardless. Its just trying to sort something out so those that are travelling dont have a wasted journey

    Its not a local park. Its 2 football fields away from houses. Common sense surely plays a part. 2 dogs at a time, all dogs on leads and so on. Im only trying to organise a bit of fun.

    I think FECK THEM, COULDNT GIVE A SHIIT WHAT THEY THINK..... thats ok on my owm or with a mate if we get moved on then its no loss. But im looking at 10/12 people and a couple of dogs each. If we get moved on then, its petrol, time, travelling expenses lost for them. Ive emailed the council to clear it up.

    Theres not much difference between running the lure and throwing a ball? Im insured through sacs....not sure if it would cover this though.

    does anybody know a reason why you cant run a lure machine on a public field? providing your courtious, respectful and pick up the dog shiit, is there any laws that stop you doing this? or see any reason why you cant? thankyou

    Lightening quick The lure machine is fixed and on its way back. Probably be here monday. Ive got a couple of turns made up out of bike wheel hubs and they work a treat. The problem is land to run it. Its ok using a football field when its just me or ross but when theres a few of us it really needs to be permission. If anybody has got any suitable grounf in the area let us know and we can get this up and running. My only worry is if the lure breaks down then its a bummer for people travelling but these things happen and if its should give up we can send ross down the course wit
