    reds how did yous take the reds pre ban if you dont mind me asking?? daytime mooching on the edge of exmoor mate, take a few lurchers and a few terriers so sometimes would be one dog 1 red other times 3 dogs would grab it. Depending how they appeared. hope you had a motor close by they weigh a ton and would want to carry one far

    yeah but that amount dont take long before the start jacking we did run between 2-4 dogs i never claimed they were all singe handed and i no you no DJ dog max and what he was like you had the brother to him

    ask any one that used to lamp round this way there was a lot of fox down here used to lamp a lot with DJ im sure a few people no him don't have to brag about killing a fox with the motor its easer than rabbits in the right conditions dog out foot down turn fox fox dead simple

    yes mate all from the motor and never on permission we use a few dogs ect but used to kill any thing between 4 and 11 in a night 3 times a week now its all on permission and if i wish to keep it all cart make a mess on the land so have to pick and chose where and what i do was out last night could have had a few foxes and a few roe but stuck to rabbits all i will say is i did mange to get bit by one not a nice feeling

    never kept any tally on rabbits When i was bang at the fox pre ban we did over 350 in season we was out 3 or 4 times a week in the motor but its all changed now all i can get is rabbits

    its down to your personal preferences and the quality off life there going to have would you be able to cope with the 24/7 attention they need. What will happen to them when you get old ? and cant look after them stick them in a home ? i couldn't find it in me to have one im sorry

    if it had any sort off use ect a fox dog that jacked ect but was good on rabbit might be worth keeping or giving away as a rabbit dog if it was no good for anything it would be in a land fill . You can feed a good dog as well as a bad one and lots off people don't have the room for a lot off hounds its a hard life but thats the way the cookie crumbles its better than parceling it off on some one else and them finding out its doesn't do what you told them it would do . And they abuse the poor dog

    when you start knocking on farmers doors ask for some ferreting not land to run the dog at first bud if the give you ferreting ask if its OK to bring a dog to mark up once your in ask about doing lamping then you should be fine then

    That kind of ideal is wasted on on here kay you would be happy if he had his own set of pans lol I am far to selfish to share my life full time with anyone, pans or no pans , i will stick to chucking it on a plate out the fridge On the other hand if i had a set as a gift that would be different , as long as they just leave the gift in the porch, i am precious with my solitude & guard it like a lioness i can see FTB out buying pans tomorrow then lol :laugh:
