    i no it would be very sad if he was telling the truth he was in the pub all night an had to be carried home so he wasnt even out ask lazyballs he carried him is that his elder bro or his half brother half brother on his fathers side but their mother are two sisters so there cousins as well :laugh:

    what about a springerx footbeagle very handy on fox cheers danny im going out with a lad in the morning who has a few foot beagles and a footbeagle springer cross was never out with him before so should be good sport.he was telling me earlier he has been putting down meat scraps for the last week in the place where going so hopefully will meet some game.

    ya i excersise my fella in an unused sand quarry and in the adjoining fields around it ,the cover is tick enough so im sure im missing out on quite abit of quarry sitting in the cover .defentinly dont want a dog going to ground on me though cause the setts are very deep so a springer would be a great help.i believe there a very handy dog to have around the big ears also get them out of their seat

    do they generally give good tongue in cover? No mate their not noted for giving tongue and its classed as a fault in the gundog circles. my mate allways gave tounge they wher good bushers The ones i have had for over 25 years have all been good bushers but hardley make a sound [bANNED TEXT] working thick cover though some of them give the odd yip not like terriers that will give tongue. thanks for the advise lads,it sounds like the best of both worlds to me,ill be able to keep track of the pup i give him to see his progress and ill get a bushing dog aswell.iv never had a dog for cov

    do springers sound well in cover?looking to get a dog for bushing shortly iv a litter of lurcher pups at the moment and been asked by a lad i know to have a swap with him for a springer pup he has bred.he hunts also and says both parents are workers,so was just wondering do you think springers make good bushing dogs??

    you could make one up yourself pretty handy pal.iv one for the winter thats worked off a frost stat(temperature switch).works a treat for me and will turn on when the temperature drops below a certain level say 3degrees and turns off again when the kennel reaches 3degrees(optional).pm me if you want and ill talk you through what you need and how to wire it

    i wouldnt worry too much about what other people do with their lives once it doesnt affect mine.if people want to keep a lurcher and not work it so be it seems a waste alright but thats their choice not ours to make for them.and imo most of the well breed working lurchers will only go to working homes anyway.once the dogs are well cared for i cant see any problem.just worry about your own dogs pal (not a dig)happy hunting

    cheers tommy need em up close and personal for the small fields down here only time will tell but sire and dam make the grade so hopefully pups will make the grade too

    my brothers bitch jet a whippet hound had her pups during the week 7altoghter the sire was a 3quater hound quater bull.bred for our own use and expecting good things but only time will tell.ill try get pictures of the pups up tomorrow mother and pups doing well.
