A day i wont forget in a hurry, out with the dog n ferrets, took a bad fall climbing over some fencing, fencing was rotten and gave way on me, and down i went, dont know how long i was sparked out, but when i came round, i was frozen to the bone, barbed wire around my left leg, and up my back, also i had landed with the ferret box under my back, took me ages to untangle myself, then made my way home, went to bed the night slight pain in my back, following night 2 20 am absolute agony, i couldnt move, my lady had the paramedics out. he said it looks like ribs, cos my back was badly bruised, giv

Says my lady after lunch, grey skies, and slight rain, so got the hob out, and off we went to some woods ive had my eyes on, bit of a slog getting there, but well worth it, dog was in the woods before me, and was already marking, thick undergrowth, and hawthorn bushes, hands and knees job, anway slipped the hob, and within seconds the ground erupted, i thought the hob was in for a booting, Nell was on form, ears twitching, adrenalin pumping, then out they came, could have had a bagfull if i used nets, Nell grabbed one, then shot off after another, so im on my knees waiting for the stinker to s

Here i am lads to thank you all for your kind words, and pms, skycat, you are quite right my friend, the older you get, thing is with me also is the fact that on top of being old, im also a sentimental old get , its hit me and my lady hard, im absolutely drained here at the moment, the only consolation i have with myself at the moment is the fact, the very short time Tess had with me, i gave her my all, it will take me a long time to get over her, at the moment, i dont want to, there is one of her little turds at the very bottom of my garden, i havent the heart yet to bin it, on my way home fr

what a day, i had it all in my head how to put this terrible news on the forum, but its all gone now, so i will babble on with a tear in my eyes, for those of you who read my posts will know how much Tess loved and played with my ferrets, but this afternoon she got in my shed where i house the ferets in a large hutch. my fault for leaving the shed door open, she jumped on top of the hutch, and somehow fell between hutch and shed wall, the scream will never leave me, by the time i shifted the hutch, i could see her hanging from her rear leg, rushed her to the vets, they did xrays rang me 2 hour

Took em on the golf course for an hr stretch their legs, Tess doing well, growing nicely and putting on weight, sleeps all night with Nell, no mess to get up to in the mornings, shes a lovely faithfull bitch, i cant beleive the bond they have together, im spending a lot of my time with Tess, just letting her be a pup for now, she loves a run , and the freedom it brings, she tells me when shes had enough, so i carry her,

Nell was itching to get out, and so was i, pup was fast asleep, so off we went, had a look on the golf course, we hadnt been out more than 10 mins when Nell shot of to a patch grasslands that surround the course, sure enough, out shot a bunny over the course, theres nowt finer than to see a working dog stretched flat out, she nabbed it by its back leg afore it hit cover

faithfull little bitch she is, follows me everywhere, i was all geared up for having her, knowing what pups are like, i mean, pups will be pups wont they, and yes, ive had my moments with her, romping with Nell, the pup sinks her teeth into Nell sometimes, and ive been waiting for Nell to put her in place, which is exactly what happened yesterday, and today, a different pup, still best of friends and romp together, but no biting, house trained, thanks to Nell, i new i wouldnt have any probs there, sleeps all night, with no mess to clean up in the mornings, mind you, im never in my pit till abo
