I bought two seiko 394 from a watch place (actually my wife did, for me) because i needed them for the day after £15 for two...... I know we were ripped off. So whilst i was on the phone to deben i asked about batteries. I ordered 10 Rayovac off them for £12 posted And its cured the problem with mine.

It should do, all collars will work with the mk3 receiver but the depths might be out.

I must just be unlucky then. Like i said my first collar packed up after very little use and it seemed to be playing up again. But now with the second set of new batteries all round everything seems hunky dory. Perhaps my first lot of batteries were old stock??

And how, With out seeing me use it are deciding that? As it happens iv replaced the batteries again and the interference seems to have stopped.

How do we rate the latest Deben Mk3, the type with the magnetic switch???? Im struggling with mine. The collar has been back to deben and changed once and now the receiver goes crazy when i try and locate with it It makes an annoying BREEE noise, Iv rung deben and was told it was interference due to flat batteries, (They were new the day before) Im going to try new ones today and see if its any better. If not its off back AGAIN How come B&F get it right for the terrier boys but Deben f**k up an easier task? Its only 16' for fucks sake..... What do you lads think?

Iv got a 5 month old Brittany and iv been training her using Joe Irvings book for springers (cant find any Brittany books) Anyway all the books iv read say dont push the retreiving so i havent. When she was younger she would happily fetch a tennis ball back that i rolled along the floor i did this maybe 5 times in total perhaps once a week. Now she wont retreive. A few years ago after tying to remember various events i decided to start a hunting diary. I started it to record the working life of one particular dog but he died in his second season so i started recording basically everything iv caught since. I really enjoy flicking through it, i keep the info really basic and just record who, where and when and anything of note that happened. I find i can instantly recall the trip then and the book never lies so i know just what i caught.. I just wondered if anyone else keeps one?

I had one, he died at 7 months, He was with out doubt the most promising pup iv ever had. I was absolutly gutted when he died, which happened whilst he was chasing a rabbit. Im fairly sure he would have tackled anything when fully grown as he had no fear at any point as a pup. Sadly missed

Everyone has their own idea on whats the best food for their dog mate. If 10 people answer you could get 10 different answers. What are you feeding now? Iv just got some skinners field and trial duck and rice. Apart from giving the dogs funny coloured stools it seems ok I also feed whole rabbits and such a couple of times a week. My dogs seem happy

Cheers matey, ill sort some picks out soon, she looks 100% better now IMHO. The vet asked where she had come from i told her the state of the house and she said she could see it in the coat of the dog because she look scruffy. I said you should have seen her the day i picked her up....
