  1. PM SENT I am the one who has made the deal to buy this scope but there has been some complications, wait out. Possible report to follow.
  2. There isn't much difference between them mate, I have tried a few and always end up going back to the cheapest I can get. Currently I am getting Hornady 17gr blue tips at £9.95 a box of 50 and they seem to do the trick.
  3. What a cracking fish, the fight must have been awsome.
  4. Hi, I would recomend that you just buy a Leeda sea spin 9' at around £15 and any decent reel but again you don't need to spand a fortune. I use my Leeda with a £30 witchwood reel and have great success with it. I can cast well into yards from the beech and do catch plenty of Bass. I even take this combo out on the Kayak when I am fishing over wrecks and when they are there can have a really great sporting day with both the bass and Mackerel. Tight lines and stay safe, Jimmy
  5. What a great find, well done you. ATB Jimmy
  6. John, don't leave a spent cart in your gun, if you feel you must fire it of why not use a snap cap?
  7. They have been going for a few years now and have been used a lot by disabled people who cant reel the fish in as we can. Like everything there is always a good use for them. I seem to remember that Anglers Afloat had a charity fish to raise money for a young lad who was disabled so they could present the wee boy with a moterised reel. Great stuff.
  8. As you state and put a new VP patch in. I would not store my rifles with the bolts left in them.
  9. You are doing a job that needs to be done mate, well done for that. Sadly the sight of young ones being killed can sometimes cause controversy. Most of us know that it goes on and most of us have done it but we tend not to publicise the more sensitive parts of the job. Don't let it put you off, just be a bit more selective as to what you post on a public forum.
  10. Don't worry about the thread with the Cubs mate, you are doing a great job, keep it up.

  11. Good healthy viewing for a young lad, me thinks
  12. If he was guilty of the crime he deserves all he got and more, no matter if he was following orders or what age he is or how long ago the crime was.
  13. Exactly, you don't have to worry about rifle history that way. I have a new CZ 455 (TH) (£445)trigger done as part of the deal and it is great, I was shooting Rabbits tonight and never missed a beat out to about 150 yards.
  14. Once again thank you for the replies, I got it sorted today. I tried a few different rounds and found that the rifle likes Norma 100 Grain SP. I can constantly group sub 1" @ 100 meters, indeed my best group was a 1/2" so I am happy. Unfortunately the Norma ammo was the most expensive out of all the rounds I tried, just my luck.
  15. I think that if this person is making the threats you say he is, you should name him. My reason for this is: 1. All other members will be aware if they ever deal with said person. 2. The mods can have a look at the situation and make a decision as to how to deal with the member and/or yourself. 3. A threat whether it is made face to face, over the phone, in the written word be it Text, PM, Email or hand written letter is a threat. 4. These PM.s should be kept and if you can't sort it out between each other I believe that due to the subject content of this Forum and the fact tha
  16. Hi guys, I am hoping that someone will be able to help me with selection of a factory load that will suit my rifle. I have a Tikka T3 Varmint in .243 with 1 in 10 twist. I use a Burris Full Field 30 scope and I have a Northstar moderator. I have just got the rifle a couple of weeks ago and have only tried 2 types of round. The first being Winchester SP in 100 grain and I only achieved just under 2" grouping at 100 meters. I then tried Remington SP in grain and was able to group on or as near to 1" at 100 meters. Can anyone give me advice on what they think might suit my rifle. I will be stal
